And tell me who we beat big guy? Rhode Island? FIU, FAU UAB, four conference teams from the MAC....WOW !!!! BIGTIME!!! We could schedule and beat all the area High School teams and what would that prove?

It's only big if you are in that conference. Nobody cares around the country who won a weak CUSA.
Well herdfever if that makes you guys happy to win a weak CUSA and then get into a no name bowl in a less than half empty stadium, then i am thrilled for you. Now lets all just pretend we beat Alalbama or heck lets just pretend we beat a TCU and strut our stuff.

Winning a weak football conference is better than being a bottom feeder in a weak basketball conference.

To greenherdman or any others who bitch and moan about the schedule here are facts. First, we can't do anything about the conference schedule. We are in CUSA and have to play the teams in our league. We were 8-1 against them in the regular season and won CUSA East. Then we beat a damn good LA Tech team to win the CUSA championship. What in the hell could you have a reason to complain about that for? There is not a damn thing we can do about the regular season conference schedule besides change conferences and that is also out of our control. Second, I agree that the non conference schedule was a big joke. Playing Ohio is ok. We play them almost every year and its a big gate game and a pretty good rivalary. Playing Rhode Island? A damn big joke. Playing Miami Oh, another damn big joke. So to please everyone who bitches, including all WVU fans lets say we replaced Miami OH and RI with Georgia and NC State. 2 teams from P5 conferences. So we go 9-3 instead of 11-1. We still win CUSA East, still win CUSA championship, and STILL go to a bowl game. Lets say we then go to the HOD bowl and beat the piss out of Illinois. We finish 11-3 instead of 13-1. My final statement is this....how is that any different than the route we took? So we play 3 P5 teams and go 2-1 against them. If we went this route would you be happy greenherdman or would you find something else to be negative about? Tell me what MU could have done different!!!
And this weak ass conference is 3-1 in bowl season thus far . Gonna be 4-1 hopefully after La Tech wins . All you can do is win games outside of conference to show that you're a good league . So far we've dome that . Granted it's Mac teams and spilt w/ mwc however it is what it is . You do realize there is only 1 spot for the so called "g5" team right ? You do realize that these Mac schools and mwc is built up by ESPN and others as being the best conferences so i believe we are doing what we need to do as a conference and beat those teams !
Basketball has never won the league and I don't see them coming close for 4-5 years, if that. Sorry to say.
I don't even buy that he's a basketball fan, but there is nothing to troll about a weak team so he does the opposite and blows smoke with the hoops team.

I just ignored him as well... Unfortunately you still have to see "this user is being ignored" after he posts something.
I like this forum as a rule, but the ignore button is a necessary evil for HN. Lots of good people, but also lots of posers, internet tough guys, and fans from schools we don't play who are just here to tear down our accomplishments although they do not even play us anymore.
I actually did the same.. and I've never ignored anyone. I get sick of seeing how bad our 13-1 football team is while talking about how great basketball could be one day. What a joke.

Hey if your school is a coward, your coaches are drunks, your AD is getting out as fast as he can before the house of cards folds on him, sometimes it's best to cast stones even if they aren't legitimate stones so that the direness of your situation isn't looked upon by a state aghast at the stupidy.

I don't mind people having an opinion about the season, whether it be positive or negative. What I do mind is when someone constantly hijacks thread after thread spouting off their agenda.
With that being said, I don't think that you guys need to worry about him for a while.
