Thoughts on this proposal?

Hey look the logical conclusion to all this madness.

Edit: for all the talk about how libs want to control your life or whatever, here it is. The cons want to control sex.

Hey, look! A jackass that thinks an idea proposed by an extreme fringe group represents the beliefs of conservatives as a whole! Congrats on your moronic post of the day award!

They praise actual terrorists in some cases. Hell they have at least two representatives for sure who do that.

So if the person who wrote that was currently helping to write the policy platform of a major political candidate, would you say that makes them not “extreme fringe” or does that make that candidate “extreme fringe”?

An extreme thought but I think it is safe to say the sexual revolution has been a failure and something needs to be done to reverse these trends.

Increasing STDs

Increasing abortions

Declining birthrates in developed countries

Increasing sexual mental health issues

Increasing sexualization of children

Not to mention likely increases in deviant sexual behaviors, human trafficking (particularly children), etc.

Of course. But one of those on your side is running for president and is supported and defended by a vast majority of cons on this board. He is cowed by and influenced by any powerful authoritarian in other countries, engaged in insurrection and attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair election. While cons complain about non existent voter fraud, the continue to back a scumbag that attempted the largest voter fraud in American history. He suggested the shooting of immigrants and would actually do it if allowed, separated immigrant children from their parents as a deterrent (and some are still separated), attempted to take health insurance from millions of Americans. He actually managed to appoint justices that took away the right of women to make choices about THEIR bodies, stated that he would stand by (in the same way your side is doing right now) while putin invades a NATO nation. And is now claiming he cannot be charged after he leaves office for any of his actions while president. His total absence of morality and ethics creates a stench in America that other countries can smell.

Cons. Always obsessed with other people's genitals.

an extreme fringe group
Yeah, the Heritage Foundation is not remotely a fringe group. But you got the extreme part right.

It would be difficult to overstate the influence of HF in the policies of the Reagan Administration, same as in the choosing of officials in the Trump Administration.

This extreme -Puritan shit, even more than MAGA, will be the end of the GOP.

Has anyone even confirmed this was actually said or was it taken out of context? By the Rolling Stone no less...

Meanwhile it seems like many trivialize the negative consequences of the Sexual Revolution and we continue to put our young children at further risk with no real attempts to change behavior to a more responsible manner...

So can we expect the end of the DNC too?

It’s a direct quote from their tweet.

Reagan won in a landslide. The downfall of the GOP, and our country, will be unfettered immigration...

Heritage Foundation

@Heritage

"It seems to me that a good place to start would be a feminist movement against the pill, & for... returning the consequentiality to sex. Conservatives have to lead the way in restoring sex to its true purpose, & ending recreational sex & senseless use of birth control pills.

Meanwhile it seems like many trivialize the negative consequences of the Sexual Revolution and we continue to put our young children at further risk with no real attempts to change behavior to a more responsible manner...
By sexual revolution, you mean that women were allowed to treat the act of sex like men do...at their own discretion.

MAGA is the extreme puritan shit.

But yeah once the mask is fully off I don’t see the anti-blowjob party doing well
Maga IS EXTREME PURITAN SHIT? HAHAHAA. No. There religious folks but, you must not understand. I know biker gang dudes, ex and current military guys that are not saints, swingers(not me smart asses), party animals, dope smokers(plenty of those), drinkers, fornicators, etc. All MAGA? Dudes that would make a sailor blush vote for Trump.

hahahah

Kick out EG and give us Rifle and I’ll take it.

Think about when the “again” was that they want to return to and how things were, especially for women, at that time.
I know hundreds of women literally that vote for Trump and are more entrenched in their support than I am. They would knock you upside the head for saying that.

I remember when Liberals claimed abortions would be outlawed if RoeVWade was overturned. (The number of abortions has actually gone up).

Yep... and if you remember conservatives at the time said it wasn't a federal ban but the talking heads and DNC sold it as such to rally the troops...

It’s just much more difficult and expensive for women in many states. So you 1) haven’t actually protected any fetuses and 2) have made things worse for women.

How has removing a federal law made it more expensive? I never thought it would "save" unborn children. Because I never believed removing RVW would make abortions illegal, the way you pro baby killers claimed.

But it is only a baby after it has left the birthing person's (mother's) body and taken its first breath of fresh/non-vag air.

Because states outlawed it and now women have to travel to other states for abortions (which Texas is trying to stop anyway.) You are not this dense.

I thought you might say because the remaining providers are price-gouging because there is now less competition...

Unlike the liberal mantra and soundbites you keep repeating in reality there were always travel costs in order to get abortions. There has been an increase but not nearly as large as you seem to project...

"More than a third of patients in 2022 had to travel out of state due to restrictions where they live, up from 24% the year before, according to the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project, a non-profit that provides financial assistance for abortions."

There are also non-profits that assist with these travels costs like the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project mentioned in that link.

I wish you'd start learning to independently look at things like this rather than depending on liberal soundbites and talking points.

Do you believe abortions should be allowed at any point during the pregnancy for any reason?
I would draw the line at general viability, around 28 weeks, but only if there aren’t a thousand hoops laid in front of women who want one to try and delay it. As long as games are being played with access, sure, any time, any reason.

Is the DNC the same as it was in 1980?
No. But the Dems right now still have a bigger tent than the GOP...the GOP is actively the running out their more moderate elected officials.

Now, I don't think conservative is going to die. I am sticking to my guns that we will see a new party emerge, to the center-right.
Think about when the “again” was that they want to return to and how things were, especially for women, at that time.
There's a lot more to that "then" on the populist side than women's rights.
More than a third of patients in 2022 had to travel out of state due to restrictions
I'd be pretty pissed if I had to travel many states away for male health care.

Viability has change over the years. If general viability becomes "around" 27 weeks, would you then draw the line at 27 weeks?

To be honest I don’t really care morally about the difference between 4 weeks and 28 or 34 or whatever. But once you can induce and it can live a normal life sure, that’s a route out that can be taken. But again that’s assuming good, quick access to birth control and abortion services.
