Tony Gibson (HC frontrunner)

This is a new thing in all coaching searches. Plug in two airport codes and start a thread about it.

You don't send a two seat prop plane to pick up a coach candidate, even if it does have the team logo on it.

Remember that this is, IIRC, the third year of the four year program that leads to a BS and a commercial pilots license. I would think that learning fly a bigger trip than circling around Charleston and landing a plane somewhere beside CRW and HTS has to be part of the curriculum.

And, as posted above, no return flight.

Anyway, while Gibson went to Glenville State, he is associated with WVU, and the WVU haters that hated on Doc, will likewise hate on him for the same reasons.

Umm, no. The plane, in this conspiracy theory, went from HTS to RDU, picked up Gibson, and flew him to HTS. The return flight would be a flight to take Gibson back, so there would need to be another flight from HTS to RDU, and then from RDU back to the plane's base at CRW, Note the plane's whole history is CRW to HTS to RDU, back to HTS, and then back to its base at CRW. This would imply that someone was taken FROM Huntington to RDU, not that someone (Gibson) was taken TO Huntington. So, unless we are modifying the conspiracy theory to say someone, supposedly CS, flew a four seat (yes, I said 2 seat, I looked it up, its a four seat plane) prop plane to interview Gibson in some room at an airport hanger with a total on the ground time of less than 3 hours, it doesn't hold up.

I don't see Gibson, or anyone, taking a job without a tour of the facilities, at least.

I'm sticking with its just a part of the Bill Noe School's curriculum or some big timer at the University had business in the Triangle or wanted to catch a flight at RDU, which has lots of international and cross country flights.

Guys, I live in the area and spotted them. Our new coach is on the way to Huntington. Based on my calculations of air temp, wind speeds, and lift needed to get over the Appalachian Plateau, Fuel stops, etc. I am guessing he should be there sometime mid December. Give or take.
