Sistersville also carries a legacy of longtime excellence. Despite having a program for fifty years, they didn’t see large success until the first set of classifications. This granted them their first title in 1953. They would replicate this again in 1964. However, it was under Lou Nocida in the 1980’s that Sistersville became a mythical school. From 1980 to 1986, they won five Class A Championships. Also, they had one Hunt Award winner, Brian Swisher, and two Kennedy Award winners, Joel Wilson and Jeff Swisher. To accomplish this at a small school was incredible and it is unlikely we will see it again. Most famously, their undefeated 1981 team averaged a score of 40-2 across the entire season. Several seasons later due to several pending reasons, they joined with Tyler County to create Tyler Consolidated. The level of success has yet to be even neared.

Lots of people in Fayetteville pissed off about having to join Oak Hill. Not sure why, since combined, they should be a Class AA powerhouse for the next couple of years, prior to possibly being reclassified to AAA. I think most are simply pissed off over the school being named Oak Hill, and having to wear the red and black. Valley-Fayette is also supposed to move into Oak Hill, but they have the option of going to Riverside. I would imagine the bruthas will choose that option.

What are there now only like 25 AAA schools in WV? They range from 2K to 800 students or something? Winning a state title would be like winning a conference or something. The larger schools have a massive advantage.

Sistersville played for Louisa. #22 in your program. Pretty good player when he wasn't too stoned on the medicines.

he was a cross between Larry Csonka and Bill Bates. Going to run over you on offense and knock your dick stiff on defense.

I never got high ever not even once in high school. Would have hurt dad way too much. Wayne has dodged consolidating. Hope they never do. It can destroy a community. See Sistersville.

There's no practical way for Wayne high school to consolidate. Once Buffalo Of Wayne went to Spring Valley that possibility ended.
