It is called failed trickle down economics that Republicans keep on pushing on everybody. I guess they eventually want the richest of people pay no tax and only the poor and if we have a middle class pay all the taxes. And not have any help for those out of work or disabled.

The poor do pay taxes, federal, state , sales tax and add on taxes . The middle class pay all these taxes too . The poor and the middle class should not pay any taxes. In the beginning it was supposed to be only the top 7 percent were to be taxed. When you vote for Trump you are likely to be voting against yourself when it comes to taxes. Yet you complain it to me that taxing the rich is not a great thing. In 1993 the bottom half of wealth owners was 3.7 percent. In 2024 it was down to 2.4 percent. Do you see what is happening ? 200k is not very rich and not a fat cat. By todays standards that is just middle class. Trumps terrible tax breaks dont help him much.
bullshit, the poor do not pay income tax. hell, they get earned income tax credit that exceeds their tax liability and they end up receiving more than they paid in most cases, especially those with a kid or 4. and, don't attempt to bring property tax or sales tax into a conversation where it has no place, shit-fer-brains. everybody pays those at the same rates, and the wealthy obviously pays a helluva lot more than the poor for obvious reasoning.

i agree, $200K isn't rich, but it's a damn good living for someone in the sticks of WV, and well inside the top 10% of all earners in the state. hell, looking that figure up, i found that i'm in the top 1% of earners in the state of WV, although not in the top 5% in the US.
and, I never said that taxing the rich isn't a great thing. hell, someone needs to pay the tax, and they do, it's the rich. again, i just find it baffling that idiots like you cry for them to "pay their fair share" when they already pay the vast majority of all tax collected.

Of course the poor do not pay taxes. I don't have a problem with that either. But the left tries to make anyone who isn't poor evil. They want to bring the poor up by bringing the wealthy down and their bleaters fall for that logic.
There will always be poor people and wealthy people. The only class that can be eliminated is the middle class and that's what the left is trying to do.

What you say about the poor not paying taxes is only partially true for many do. So you still think by ever increasing wealth to the ultra rich is going to be good for the middle class . I say it is the right who are hurting the middle class. Those tax breaks should be going to the middle class not the fat cats for their trickle down failures. Then the economy would really hum with the real majority of spenders with more money in their pockets. This path the right is on now has only one ending and that is depression and with that no one wins not even the fat cats. The businesses will fail and the stock market will crash.
