Yep, hit the fan.

"Attorney General Elliot Richardson and his deputy resigned rather than obey President Richard Nixon's order to fire a special prosecutor investigating the Watergate scandal.

The incident, which became known as the 'Saturday Night Massacre,' was a public relations disaster and is seen as a turning point in Nixon's administration."

deja vu?

And Extra, if she did want to defend the Prez's EO that is what she should have done. He is her boss, he should have fired her.

LMAO, was just watching tv and they said the liberals would use this. Greed first to prove them right.

hahahahaa

Wow, she was disobeying the law and executive order.

You guys are from the same old playbook

I am laughing out loud.

You'd been better off going to the kitchen and opened the cabinet where all the cleaning inGREDients all stored. Then ask your question to the cabinet. The answer would have been same as Greed's.

The ole man has struggled since Nov. 8th.

Like I said, good thing Nixon took your advice.

Like Nixon, Trump is blowing political capital on the dumbest shit. Jeff Sessions, now this whole mess. Only it is his first week in. I read that Mattis is furious he was not consulted on the EO. More Republicans with considerable power are being turned off. Trump may soon find more knives behind his back than extended hands in front of him.

you can't be serious.

He doesn't understand political capital. He doesn't understand he didn't start with much. Just wait until he has to get LAWS passed and needs it. When you don't have any to spend on either side of the aisle, you're in trouble.

He didn't say there was no similarity, he said:

Bernstein, who clearly has a familiarity with that period in history, told Don Lemon “there’s a big difference” between what Trump and Nixon did.

He said Trump is certainly “within his rights” to fire her, even if he doesn’t think it’s necessarily wise:

“What’s happened here is that… his presidency is in chaos, and it’s apparent to all but most of his serious defenders.”

He said that while Trump hasn’t obstructed justice here like Nixon did, he’s “obstructed American principles” with his “authoritarian pronouncements.”

"Republicans on Capitol Hill who I'm talking to who are doubting his abilities," Bernstein said, "doubting even his stability under pressure. This is an extraordinary series of events."

If you can't see the difference between trying to fire someone to protect your own ass and firing someone who refuses to do their job because their own political beliefs, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Do some of you all even understand he had no choice but to fire her? She was not doing her job and not following a legal executive order.

And how many Americans even know or give a sh* about what Nixon did?

Just because a bunch of anarchists, a lying media, black members of the house, and a few die hards like yourself refer to him as not legitimate, does not mean he doesn't have political capital. He fully has two hands under the table and has begun the process of launching it airborne and turning it on its top. He knows your playbook and he refuses to play by it, which is a breath of fresh air.

He doesn't know the playbook, he doesn't know the Constitution, he doesn't know the process, he doesn't understand there is more than one consequence to any action. He has his skull the same place as his hands....under the table.

I don't personally know of anyone who questioned Cheetos right to fire her. Whether or not is was a legal executive order has not yet been determined.

Lot of people remember what Nixon did.

Its readily apparent, the media, Dems, and many repubs openly prefer "do nothing, no results, pandering, typical politician" forms of "leadership" over someone who actually went to Washington to get things done.

The idea that Trump's presidency is in "chaos" is absolutely laughable. LOL hysterical. Those of you repeating this mantra, were the same ones blindly believing the same dopey reporters that suggested HRC would walk away with the election.

This one never gets old:

Gen Kelly speaking to press now saying he was aware of the order and knew about it before. he specifically said the notion that he found out about it on a plane after it was issued was completely untrue.

i imagine Mattis will be giving a similar statement soon enough...

"I saw the draft. It was not the final version as it had a few grammatical errors. The final version corrected the errors."

CNN has whined and moaned since Friday about not getting details about this. as Kelly was speaking with several other Homeland Sec guys they cut away. when he started trashing their theory that he didn't know about this, they cut away...

wow

the best line of the entire thing was a reporter asking Kelly, "When did you first know about this?"

"About two years ago when President Trump started running and made his policies clear."

lmao
