Dude, that is part of the negotiation.
When did he drop the tariffs?Dropping Chinese tariffs to 50% before negotiating. So glad he's playing hard ball
He is still undermining his argument and negotiating in public when he comes out and says hey tariffs are x and then two weeks later says you no what let's make them y insteadWhen did he drop the tariffs?
Oh. Wait. He didn’t. Ok.
So they are still near 100 percent.Dropping Chinese tariffs to 50% before negotiating. So glad he's playing hard ball
What argument is he undermining? He is still undermining his argument and negotiating in public when he comes out and says hey tariffs are x and then two weeks later says you no what let's make them y instead
He didn’t lower the tariffs. So they are still near 100 percent.
China is hurting badly.
The original tariffs showed him as completely unreasonable. It’s the equivalent of walking into a dealership and seeing a $100,000 car and screaming “I’ll give you $30,000! You need this sale!” Then while they’re staring at you and blinking yelling “Ok $70,000!”By showing a willingness to be reasonable before you sit down at the table you are placing your opponent in a position where they also need to be willing to be reasonable or they will take the brunt of the blame for any failure in the negotiation.
It amazes me that a grown azz man that I assume has bought many things in his life doesn’t understand the most basic tactics.
^^Someone else that thinks Trump lowered China’s tariffs. The original tariffs showed him as completely unreasonable. It’s the equivalent of walking into a dealership and seeing a $100,000 car and screaming “I’ll give you $30,000! They were high by design. The original tariffs showed him as completely unreasonable. It’s the equivalent of walking into a dealership and seeing a $100,000 car and screaming “I’ll give you $30,000! You need this sale!” Then while they’re staring at you and blinking yelling “Ok $70,000!”
