His tenure has been a catalog of unforced errors. What other president would insist on shutting down part of the federal government because Congress refused to fund something that he said Mexico would pay for?

What other president would appoint a Federal Reserve chairman and, a year later, roil markets by talking privately about firing him? What other president would visit troops in Iraq and claim to have conferred their first pay raise in a decade, one amounting to 10 percent – neither of which is true?

Only Trump could botch a Christmas Eve phone conversation with a 7-year-old by casting doubt on the existence of Santa Claus. Or use the White House Easter Egg Roll to tell children about the vast sums he’s spending on the military. Or address a Boy Scout jamboree in such a boorish way that the organization apologized for his words.

Each day is a chance for Trump to expose his incompetence at every element of his job. Each day, he seizes the opportunity.

I really don't understand how you can equate this guy with ANY former office holder with the exception of Nixon. And even Nixon wasn't anywhere near the bold- faced-liar-level of Trump:
- states in a televise conference with Pelosi and Schumer he'll take the blame for a shutdown....and then after it happens, states it's the Dems fault.
- says the military hasn't had a pay increase in 10 years, and he's given them a 10% bump - neither of which is true
-Engages in twitter wars with Porn Stars - while President
- His level of lying is now on a "how many per day" scale. Can't recall anything like this from any former President.
- Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, Carter, Obama and Clinton - you may not have agreed with their politics, or even believed what they were saying some of the time (not all of the time like today).....but you really didn't concern yourself with "is this guy really pulling for Russia? Do the Russians have something on him?"

All the libs on this board would loose their mind if a Trump IRS illegally targeted oppositions groups (The IRS admitted to this prior to Koskinen's retirement (and made settlement payouts)). But none of you libs even acknowledge this even happened. That's only one example.

When the Obama supporters acknowledge even one of his controversial acts we can talk about presidential crimes, but as long as they're willing to turn a blind eye they shouldn't expect anything less in return

The convictions have nothing to to with Russia, which was the focus. If you dug close enough to any politician you could dig up the same amount of illegalities. Look at the Podesta Group. The biological brother of Clintons campaign head was put out of business because of Russian ties. Is she under investigation? If Russia is such a concern, why not?
