Contrary to KJP's insane claim that 64% of Americans support Biden's pardon of his son (the poll she referenced is only 32%), the left is completely ignoring the fact they made it a lynchpin of their supposed superior morality. Turns out, Biden was lying all along. And several members of this board called it out years ago.
The left is now saying Trump's pardon of his father-in-law, Charles Kushner, is literally no different than Biden pardoning his son. Gonna be honest, I remember that Donald pardoned him but not really the specifics. There were quite a few high profile pardons Trump made that drew heavy media attention & this one kind of fell into the abyss. Since the left is saying there's literally no difference but not really going into detail, I thought I'd look up the actual facts.
Charles was a scoundrel. In 2004, he plead guilty to 18 federal charges stemming from tax & illegal campaign donations totaling hundreds of thousands. In 2003, he found out his brother-in-law & sister had turned state's witness against him. According to court docs, Kushner acknowledged "that after he found out some members of his family were cooperating with authorities, he arranged to have a prostitute seduce his brother-in-law in a motel room in New Jersey where video cameras were installed. The plot succeeded and Kushner later had a videotape sent to his sister."
What dems aren't mentioning is that Charles Kushner was sentenced to two years, served, & was released in 2006. Not sure how this pardon is "literally the exact same thing" considering Hunter has never served time.
