The HBCU SWAC football championship, set for Legion Field has been moved to on-campus of one of the teams at the request of UAB, which believes it will host the CUSA title game set for the same day.

The SWAC title game and the annual Alabama State-Alabama A&M HBCU game, also played at Legion Field, far outdraw UAB games.

Yeah, but logistically, it wouldn't work. If the SWAC championship had a scheduled 1 pm kickoff, the teams wouldn't even show up until 4 pm. By the time the game ends, the C-USA game would have been delayed by hours.

and even this year. we average 1,000 more than UAB at home. IF we didn't have a P5 NC State in, the average would have been 1,000 less that UAB.
In 4 home games we average 26,614. UAB is at 25,631. Had we not had NC State a three game average would have been 24,702.
