OFFICIAL PICK THE SCORE THREAD UCF

I don’t care to predict a score, but I predict we are going to see just how far one program has progressed and just how far the other program has regressed, since UCF exited the conference. It will not be pretty for Herd fans...the truth is going to hurt.

UCF is having a "down year" and we are picking them to slaughter us... at one of the things we do well (play in bowl games)... That is absolutely a statement about where we are currently.
I don’t think it really was about Marshall. UCF lost three games by seven total points with a true freshman QB all on the road. Gabriel is not a freshman anymore and this is a home game for UCF. Talent wise UCF would finish in the top four of any P5 conference. I don’t view what happened yesterday as what Marshall isn’t but more of what UCF is.

Stop. Trying out for the Goofy costume at Disney, huh?
Not sure if that was supposed to be an insult, if Disney were within 40 miles of Huntington, Marshall would be where UCF is. Fact is UCF was always going to become a major player, it was only a matter of time. When a school is located in one of the most populous states, has a student body approaching 70,000 and is the economic engine of a top 20 DMA that school was destined to become more than a mid major.

ha ha . They finished tied for fourth in a G5 conference this year. They lost to Pitt which was no where near the fourth best team in the ACC. UCF is a solid program but no where near the elite level it's fan base seems to think it is.

ohio - this particular season, they finished 4th in a conference where the top 4 teams in the AAC spent a majority of the year in the top 25. Name a G5 conference that comes remotely close to that achievement ?? You can’t, because it has probably never happened since the P5/G5 split.
Anyone care to make a case against those facts?
....didn’t think so.
& oh by the way? Temple (5th) would’ve had a real shot to win our shitty conference this season.

What are you even arguing? What you just argued is nothing even remotely similar to what Goofy claimed.

Yes, it was an insult, because it takes a moron of epic proportions to claim that UCF would be no worse than 4th in terms of talent in any conference.

AAC was ranked higher than ACC this year in S&P+. Pitt finished in 5th in the ACC and needed a trick play to beat UCF at home by a point. Per Sagarin UCF would be ranked 2nd in the ACC behind Clemson.

If Marshall fans should be mad at a program, its ECU. Theyre in a smaller city with a team that peaked in 1991, eight years before Marshall went undefeated. And Marshall can claim to have a better basketball program too.

How can we be mad at ECU? It's not like we got an invite and they stole it.

USM has the biggest beef of the teams left in CUSA. They were OG and whoopin' up on Louisville, Cincinnati, etc. while Marshall and UCF were still hoping up from 1-AA.

USM hired Ellis Johnson and that was the end of that.

he claimed they would be in the top five of any P5 conference this year. Good Lord if he thinks they would be better than LSU, Alabama,Auburn Fl, Georgia then he needs to admit himself to a Psych hospital ASAP. UCF better than Ohio State, Penn State, Wisky, Michigan or Minn LMAO

If you go by Massey composite UCF would rank 7th in the Big 10, 6th in the SEC, 4th in the PAC 12, 3rd in the Big 12, and 2nd in the ACC. So about an average Big 10 or SEC and above average in the other 3 power conferences.
