(Updated) Supposedly - Huff to So Miss

For 2 Mil a year, she won't need to be worried about street gangs, etc. Maybe many on here aren't familiar with Philly, but it is a fantastic city with a huge array of cost of living opportunities. Hate to say it, but I think Charles Huff would be an instant hit in Philly and a winner quickly at Temple. But I don't think he is going there.

Temple sucks. Cant win there on a level to make them relevant. The school itself is struggling to find some programs. They did just start a PT program.

Since, Philly TV stations are our locals, we get to see every day what happens in Philly. She may be able to live somewhere else but when you have bullets whizzing by your dorm windows, its a little disturbing to say the least.

Substitute Temple with MU...and you have the fans' beliefs prior to Huff...well, anytime MU loses a football game.

I guess on the positive side, Huff seems to be a viable candidate for several schools, no one wanted our previous two coaches.
What it actually means is that he has a great press agent, nothing more. The entire CH era has been filled with him moving to this or that school. One time we were going to play a second bowl game for some stupid reason I forget.

There is nothing to any of it.

This is CH we are talking about, remember.

Why do you think he would be a quick winner at a Temple when he wasn't a quick winner st Marahall?

You're trying waaaay too hard.

Makes me wonder why you don't like Huff.

If his wife supposedly hates living in Huntington, wait till she gets a dose of North Philadelphia. Street gang shootings/muggings on and around campus pretty much daily. Here in South Jersey we call it "life in the Shi**y".
You’ve never spent a minute on our campus.

No offense, but I believe Huff's stock just went up and he can do better than a program like Temple. If Huff can keep the pieces together and win the SBC next year, I think he will up at a P5 program.
I think he will get a P5 invite this year if he wins the conference. Heck he might get one now.

Philly is a s***hole city, just like any other city of its type. People that make $2M/year don't live in the places that social problems. They live in the rich. well policed, well walled, upper class part of the city, or in the rich McMansion suburbs.

Temple is a dead end program. You cannot win there. But, IMHO, CH has always been about the cash. $2M for 3 or 4 years, then do the TV deal or do "coach rehab" as an assistant in the SEC for a couple of years and buy a house on a lake and there you go.

So either the CH stuff was just another plant by his press guy, who deserves every cent CH pays him; or CH was passed over.

- The sun will not rise tomorrow before the CH press agent has him on the USPAM list. Both fan bases will melt down, but relax, its not happening. USPAM is hiring Dickrod back.

- CH will take the USM job. Fine. Time to move on to the next era.

My brother lives in a million dollar townhouse in Society Hill among people making that kinda money. You don't know a thing about Philly, but you did say very obviously that wealthy people in Philly live in wealthy parts of Philly just like every other place in America. We also don't really have McMansion suburbs. I mean like an hour away, but people with that kinda money don't live there--they live in the inner ring suburbs. Nothing in the Philly area is 'walled'. We barely have developments. We have one where I grew up and there's no gate or wall to get in.

I rented in the city for 11 years. One of my neighbors played for the Sixers ($41M net worth). Another neighbor founded Urban Outfitters (nearly multi-billionaire).

We have enough of a track record to show that coaches can win here. We have enough of a track record to show that players can be successful here. Despite the fact that we've been very, very down for 5 years, we still have more NFL players than you (over twice as many in fact)

He was the runner up. Keeler was the top choice from the beginning.
