USAID

USAID reminds me of a college instructor I once knew. He had a degree in Speech Communication. I asked him what a person with that degree did for a living. He answered, “I teach classes in Speech Communication.”

It seemed, at least to me, that this was a self sustaining field of study. You taught classes to people who graduated to teach the classes to others who wanted to teach the classes.

No offense to any of you that might be in that field. We all have to get through life somehow.
Yes, absolutely weird that teachers teach classes.

Some need to understand, USAID might be just a small piece of the pie, but these vanity projects end up impacting other departments of the government.

No, I think it was the easiest piece. The most obvious for abuse. Seems like there was little to no oversight, to the point where the agency was negligent.

contributes to the trillions in debt.
Tax cuts for the wealthy have contributed $20 trillion to the national debt. And you're stupid enough to support the extension of the trump tax cuts that will create ANOTHER $4 TRILLION IN NATIONAL DEBT. IDIOT.

I wonder if USAID funded any programs OW? I know they didn’t do any for minority internships, but maybe just basic brainwashing?

One of the best non science classes I ever had was a communication class. It was called “Business and Professional Writing” - like a 300 level comms class.

It was a lot of writing prompts - like you work for an airline in customer support…A customer was mad about a weather delay and you have to respond in X words to them that it’s not in the policy to refund for a weather delay. Draft a professional, concise email .

Or you are a head of a dept and there is upcoming major changes. Draft an in office memo briefly explaining the changes .

Before we had to “hop on a zoom call (kill me)” some of us had to quickly communicate via email and it was a better time.
who needs a class when we now have chatgpt:

Subject: Regarding Your Weather-Related Flight Delay

Dear [Customer's Name],

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand the frustration that weather delays can cause, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

As per our policy, we are unable to offer refunds for delays caused by weather conditions, as these are beyond our control. We do, however, strive to provide timely updates and assistance during such situations.

If you have any further questions or need additional support, please feel free to contact us.

We appreciate your understanding.

Best regards,

True.

Being able to write concisely is still a skill…but your point is well taken.

You spend all day on X?

Keep in mind not all that is on X is reality. Especially, since it's a mouthpiece for it's owner.
Take it with a grain of salt. I doubt very seriously we were directly or indirectly paying for 35000 Jordainans.

Did Elon steal John's spouse?

How come you hillbillys go for the same dumbass lines? Did someone steal your girlfriend? Heard that about 15 times.

But anyway it's starting to become obvious why Vivek excused himself.

Drill baby drill!! - Someone needs to tell someone that gas prices are up over 30% over the last month. the only reason is that someone wants to put tariffs on the whole world. That could backfire bigtime, especially, when our inflation is already high because of the deficit.

Lets make Canada the 51st state! -- Don't be stupid.

Lets rebuild Gaza -- Tried to rebuild Afganistan and Iraq. Both turned out disastrous. Don't put Americans in harm's way be being at a location where obviously they don't want us.

Gulf of America -- Whatever floats your boat, but aren't there other things we can worry about like the Fiscal Budget?

Instead of 1001 EO's that half are going to be challenged in court. Get Congress to pass Bills (while we have both chambers), which they won't have a Cease order on.

Because he is starting his Gov's bid for Ohio?

We cant help that you choose to live in the country's worst state for gas/emission regulations. Gas prices haven't changed at all here in "hillbilly" country.

Get Congress to pass Bills
It's not even been 3 full weeks in office. Trump has started to do everything he said he would start to do. The first piece of legislation will likely being a tax related bill.

Maybe, but why accept the position in the beginning just to stay two weeks. Watch his interview he states why he left. Elon wanted technology to lead the way, Vivek was more legislative and regulation-oriented. You need both, especially the latter.

Give it a week or two, it will be back there.

Not mad, but you can see how this script works. The mid-terms are usually not good for the incumbent. If the D's get the house in 2026 it will be Impeach, Impeach, Impeach for he next two and nothing gets done. Opening the doorway for more Woke in 2028. I would rather shut the door on that and sew up the 2028 election, shortly after the mid-terms. I would be concerned with getting the cabinet seated, the border (which he has done a good job), and smaller pieces of legislation done before then. Give the public several pieces on working laws to look at when going to the polls in 2026.

So far done a great job on the border and Laken Riley law. Two great victories in the short 3 weeks. Need to keep it going and not get sidetracked on non-sense about buying Greenland.

You do know Vivek is still working with Doge, right?
He was there during the live chat, believe last with when they were talking about all the USAID stuff and giving his inputs.

That information came from the national which is the publication in United Arab Emirates.

Here is the Times of Israel that took the section out since the national and it is behind a paid wall.

QUESTIONABLE SOURCE

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency and/or is fake news.

  • Overall, we rate The National Questionable based on poor sourcing, promotion of state propaganda, lack of transparency, and censorship.

You can hire 35,000 Jordanians for about $400,000,000 a year. That seems about right that we would be funding this many.
