Larry Aaron DL
Larry Aaron is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive lineman from Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland. Aaron recorded 69 tackles and two sacks in 10 games as a senior at Oakland Mills, The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Aaron was named to The All-Metro Defense second-team, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Aaron is fairly quick for his size. He is quick off the snap and strong. He is a tough assignment for the center and guards up the middle. He can use his quickness to shoot the gaps or his strength to shake off blockers. He has the frame to add good weight and is likely a defensive end on the next level.
Aaron’s only offer to HerdNation’s knowledge is Marshall and is likely a non-qualifier candidate. There’s a good chance he ends up in Huntington.
JaQua Daniels RB
Daniels is a 6-foot-1, 219-pound running back from Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia. Daniels, who stands at 6-foot-1, 219 pounds, has offers from Georgia, Tennessee, Minnesota, Colorado State, Middle Tennessee State along with Marshall.
Daniels, who is rated as s three-star, took an official visit to Middle Tennessee on Jan. 15.
The Peach State product is a powerful, quick running back who would certainly fit well in Bill Legg’s offense. Daniels, who runs a 4.64 40-yard dash, has good instincts, moves and field vision to go with quickness and power. He is tough to tackle. Daniels is also a weapon out of the backfield, which Marshall could benefit from greatly.
Daniels, as most know, is likely a non-qualifier candidate. Marshall is in good shape with Daniels and getting him to take his official the last weekend should only help.
Sir Patrick Scott DB
Scott, who is ranked as a 3-star, is a former Michigan commit. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder decommitted from the Wolverines earlier this month.
The defensive back has an impressive offer list that includes Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Arizona, California, Washington State, NC State, Kentucky and other Power Five programs.
Scott has good cover skills. He can run stride-for-stride with receivers and turns his head early enough to be able to make a play. He can change direction quickly which helps in his cover skills. Scott can also play on the line of scrimmage and jam the receiver or play off coverage. He is a good tackler who wraps well and can play some safety too.
Scott would be a very good pickup for the Herd. He is coveted by many Power Five programs for a reason. Scott is likely a non-qualifier candidate at Marshall. Scott is a new name so this is a situation we will continue to follow closely as he visits.
Jahmmir Taylor WR
Taylor is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound three-star prospect from Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi. He has offers from Marshall, Memphis, Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee State, South Alabama and Arkansas State. He took an official visit to MTSU on Jan. 15.
This past season Taylor caught 31 passes for 559 yards and six touchdowns.
Taylor is a fast receiver who would be a big-time vertical threat in an offense like Marshall's. He can play outside and inside but I think he would be a bigger mismatch on the inside. He is a good route runner and has good hands. Taylor is a major threat after the catch with his speed and moves.
Taylor could fill the Herd’s need of finding an impact receiver who can stretch the field vertically. According to Taylor, he is good friends with Keion Davis so familiarity and another possible recruiter in Taylor’s ear could help the Herd if he is the top target at wide receiver.
It appears Marshall is looking to add another immediate impact wide receiver and has a good chance to ink Taylor's signature in my opinion.
Jake Verity K/P
Verity is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound kicker/punter from Bremen High School in Bremen, Georgia. He is ranked as a two-star by Rivals, but his profile lists no interests and offers.
Verity has a big leg. Verity regularly kicked the ball out of the end zone in his Hudl highlights and appeared to have good yardage and hang time on his punts. He also made a field goal from about 42 yards out and had distance to spare.
Verity made a 64-yard fair catch kick in a game which is the sixth longest field goal in U.S. high school football history. A fair catch kick is like a kickoff and is an option following a fair catch of a punt or a punt returner who was interfered with. The ball can be teed up like a kickoff and both teams line up as so.
Verity will be on an unofficial visit. He would be a nice addition and could be a contributor as a redshirt sophomore if Marshall keeps it stable of specialists currently with the program.
Pro Wells TE
Pro Wells is an unranked tight end from Dixie Hollins High School in Kenneth City, Florida. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Wells committed to Marshall back in December over offers from Iowa State, Western Kentucky, Tulane and others. He decommitted on Jan. 15th after picking up an offer from South Carolina.
Wells visited UCF on Jan. 15 and Iowa State on Jan. 22 before heading up to Marshall this weekend.
In his first year playing high school football Wells led all tight ends in Florida with 952 receiving yards and caught five touchdowns.
Wells is a good athlete and is a vertical threat from his tight end position. He has very good hands and is able to make acrobatic catches and highpoint the ball. He has solid speed for his size and can shake defenders if need be. He is physical and not afraid to fight for the extra yard.
Wells would fit well into Marshall’s offense. He may not be the blocker he will need to be on the college level just yet but he is a weapon in the making. Wells has good potential and Marshall still has a chance to bring Wells back into the fold. Wells could be a non-qualifier and visiting Marshall last helps but I like the Herd’s chances with other receiving targets.

Antwan Wright WR
Antwan Wright is a 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver from Shelby High School in Shelby, North Carolina, Marshall is his only FBS offer. He was also receiving interest from Louisville and NC State. He is unranked by Rivals.
Wright is an interesting story as he lost his junior season because of a family dispute over dogs and the dispute went to court where the charges were eventually dropped.
As a senior, Wright caught 53 passes for 1,206 yards and 15 touchdowns and led his team to a Class 2A state title.
Wright has tremendous speed, 4.47 40-yard dash, and is an underrated recruit because of the loss of his junior season. Wright is a major vertical threat. He is explosive and has good field vision. Wright is a big play threat any time he touches the ball. He also is a solid route runner so he isn’t just a vertical threat.
Wright is most likely a non-qualifier candidate. But he will be a nice addition to the wide receiver unit because he is a big play threat vertically and across the middle. Wright is the definition of a sleeper. He is Marshall’s to lose. Unless something drastic happens, he will be heading to Marshall.
