I didn’t vote for Trump, wasn’t playing on it in the next election. That said, this is absolute bullshit
This is not because they want him in jail as a primary objective. It’s to guarantee he wins the primary and keep him in the news. It’s a no lose proposition. It’s a good political move.
First, the DA is trying to run for higher office. Trying to make a name for himself.
Then, the Democrats want to cuff him. They will do anything to get him. They could tell this guy to tone down. The bigger picture is they want to take down anyone from the outside. It makes anyone from outside think twice to run for any kind of office.
They do realize the Republicans will now go after a Democrat somewhere in this manner. They are going to do it to them at some point.
At the end of the day Trump is Biden's chief opponent. Trump is on his way to beig the nominee, like it or not. That makes him Biden's opponent. DeSatnis can't beat Trump and the Dems know they are going to run against Trump. Plain and simple.

While the DA is the one who would bring charges… as a reminder about grand jury, it consists of a large number of jurors who sit and hear evidence. That evidence then is voted on by them, whether or not there was enough evidence to allow those charges to go forward. There has to be a majority vote in the affirmative, “a true bill”, for an indictment on charges brought forth.
I guess it could be slightly different in NY than in WV, but I served on the cabell county grand jury for a 16 month term. We had 16 jurors from all different backgrounds who met once a month, every month, for the whole term. The PA just presented the charges, then left the room while voting and deliberation takes places.
This isn’t really all the DA, it is really the jurors who saw and heard enough evidence to say there is enough to go forward with the charges. It’s not guilty or not guilty verdict. It’s a true bill vs not true bill.

CNN saying 34 counts. If true, that's way more than just Stormy.

About a year ago, Trump said that he was in favor of eliminating the constitution. Now, Herman is defending Trump by arguing that this is part of eliminating the constitution and isn’t right.
Herman doesn’t realize that trump was mocking him by saying “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn't lose any voters, okay?”

It's also important to point out that the threshold for gaining an indictment is much easier than gaining a conviction.
The 34 counts comes from the supposed 34 payments to Stormy. Quite a reach. Also, the election commission said that the payment was legal, and Stormy herself is on record saying the affair never even happened.
So what are we doing here?
Headed to using the courts and the DOJ to destory political enemies. Others will be next. Straight out the commie playbook
