That is one of the worst excuses ever. I hear that from a lot of people. Doc recruits them. Doc coaches them and Doc is ultimately responsible for the game plans and winning and losing.

How many coaches can save their job by telling the AD we would have been better and I would have won more games if the players would have done better? That answer is zero.
