What is the minimum number of players a team has to have on a roster to play a game? Are we approaching a breaking point?

Not even close. Remember, except for Mike Green, the players listed above with graduation next to them are playing in our bowl game.

Also, small note: Carl Chester has no additional eligibility left and is not in the portal, meaning he should be available for the game.

Makes you wonder if Gibson has tapped a few NC State guys to come with him but because he hasn't been officially announced yet as HC, they're waiting?

We should just bite the bullet and trade with JMU. Sounds like they would be more competitive.
I read on at another place that the admin was going to let transfers play in the bowl game if they so chose to.
Any Truth?

That was a typo on my part. It should have read "Graduation".

I'll do better:confused:

That is very different than what is going on here...in fact it's borderline disgraceful you'd compare the two.
What a douche thing to say. Not disgraceful at all. They’re called opinions junior.
I have looked at this pic before, but now notice that the scoreboard operator was so excited he hadn’t yet changed the final score.
The Play was from the Xavier 13 yard line. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to hear the play by play on that one!

Well I was a student during that period. We burying people, not transferring them. No comparison between what happened then and what is going on today.

I'm actually not worried about next year. The bowl game is a different matter entirely though. On the plus side, some guys have an opportunity to step up and show us what they got for next year.

For many college teams, it will continually be the upcoming “ box of chocolates “ season. Never know what you are going to get.

If you look at the offensive side, most of that production from individuals is replaceable. The harder production to replace is on the defensive side. Finding equivalent replacements for most of our WR/RB production is not going to be that hard. Braxton (outside of the lack of turnovers) can be replaced too. His production outside of the run game can be replaced by another QB. We will miss having a running QB who doesn't turn the ball over though.

But when it comes to defense, yikes. It's still doable but it's a higher bar to clear.

Regardless, I think Gibson can get it done. I'm not afraid of this situation. I don't think we were really a great team despite the success. We had talent that I think never lived up to their potential. We got really lucky this season. Look at where our offense ranks nationally. No one should think it would be tough to replace that. He can certainly do it on that side of the ball.

Good research. That's a lot of production to lose, assuming they all transfer. Maybe some will stay with the Herd.

I actually agree with you 100%. I told someone yesterday that we got darn lucky this season and while we’re a good team, we were closer to last season’s record than we care to admit.

None of the offensive numbers are intimidating. It may even be a blessing to clean house on that side. We definitely needed better WR recruitment.

Borderline disgraceful??? Paying homage to overcoming adversity by using Ernie Salvatore's signature name for Marshall fans and players... Evoking memories of a simpler, and in many ways better, time when there were stronger connections between college athletes and their teammates, schools and fans when the love of the game superseded money and the NIL portal.

You can say many things about me but calling me disgraceful about MU football isn't one of them. And that's a disgrace that you chose to do so.

But we aren't.

But leave it to MU fans saying how they "almost were 7-5."
