This seems like a good place to mention that today I got the chance to go back and take a little deeper look at Ulmer at G. I didn't grade each play, but I did focus on him through the first three quarters as a watched, and re-watched his play.
My take: I actually thought he played better at G than he has at T. At T he is sometimes vulnerable to the speed rusher. Inside, he didn't have to worry about that. He did get put on his ass a couple times. There are some big boys on the inside. But overall, I thought he did a pretty good job. He even did a decent job climbing to the next level. And remember, this is a player who hasn't been asked to play out of a three-point stance since he got here.
