Windows 10

You just have to insert it, make sure it is ready before putting it in or else it will not work right.
Yes Herdfan06 I checked and it was ready before I inserted it......so I am going to assume your suggestion didn't work this time either. It is so nice to have a Herdfan like you to be so helpful when I need help with a situation like this. Thank you

Connie Smith, I like to hear her songs.

They remind me of times when I was driving down a mountain in either Braxton County, WV or somewhere northeast of Knoxville. Interchangeably. Hell of a voice she had.

Could one of you tell me how to play a DVD?

Talk to the DVD and make it feel special... tell it you want to take it to a fancy dinner.

Order the most expensive item on the menu, and spare no expense. When the check comes, tell the DVD that you need to run to the restroom, and proceed to get the hell out of there.

Not only did you get a free meal, but you played the DVD.

What is the model number of your PC?

you need software to play the dvd. if you just upgraded to Windows 10 from an old version of Windows you lost Windows Media Center. that is likely what "automatically" played dvd's for you in the past. the new version does not have WMC.

download VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

it's free, trusted, and works very good (better than several programs that cost $$$)

and if all else fails... get beer.

get lot of beer then you won't care about the movie. But I don't know. I have a DVD player with my TV and watch movies there

#1. I don't drink beer, but I do care about my issue..
#2. I did not ask about playing a DVD on my TV.
#3. Evidently then, you do not know the answer to my question.......so why would you respond????

This is the easiest fix.
