I love writing my weekly day-after game recap each week, but this week its not going to happen... Thanks to Hurricane Helene this was the first MU game I've missed (either in person or on TV) since 2009.
We have much much bigger fish to fry in Western North Carolina... I went 65 hours with no electricity until it came back on about 7 p.m. last night. Still have no cell phone service/internet (Im posting this from Starlink public wifi at our county courthouse). Gas stations are running out of gas and several main commercial arteries are closed for the foreseeable future (I40/I26).
There are whole communities down here that are without power still and it could be several more days in some places. It's bad.
I am going to be up for homecoming this week. I plan to be in Huntington on Thursday night but realize due to road closures my usual 5 hour drive is going to take at least 7.
