The bums up north just signed a deal to play Florida state in Atlanta to kick off 2020. THAT is the type of game we need for exposure. He neutral sight games in the big arenas on national TV. It only takes one game like that to get some local kids from where that game is played.

Meh. They played Bama a few years ago in a similar game and haven't done much in recruiting since.

Also, weren't you just complaining about Marshall fans constantly bringing up WVU?

Something ain't quite right with you, my man. You smell a bit like a troll.

I'll take the South Carolina game over a neutral site game every season. Can you imagine what it'll be like when/if the Herd wins in Columbia?

Looking forward to it Andy, thanks!

Celt the problem is it doesn't help us recruit in that area because it's not a neutral site. Just my opinion

Chris it wasn't about WVU- the point is I want a neutral game. The article I saw just reminded me of that.

Congrats! You finally got an AAC team to play you, and yes your an opening practice game for them.

Trollbilly, put down the meth pipe , get yourself to Walmart to get yourself some new eerbilly garb and just please go away.

If any of you think that we are on the same "level" as the WVU program is......then I have to wonder just how much you really know about football............at this point in our program we could never win 8-10 games per year playing the same schedule that WVU is playing in the B12 and out of conference.....My allegiance is to MU and not WVU......

Be careful Always, they'll call you a troll for having any differing opinion. You're not allowed to be a Marshall fan unless you have ridiculous retarded expectations and proclaim them all of the board. If you are at all realistic than you're a troll..

Obviously, Always, anyone with half a brain and a reasonable knowledge about football would not expect the HERD to achieve the level of success you mention against such a schedule, with its deficit in athletic facilities, budgets, $$$$$, versus these Power schools. The real issue, which you ignore, is that the "almighty blew and yeller EERS" are also having trouble winning 8-10 games per year playing their schedule. Despite the fact that, on paper, they are in much better position, resources wise, money wise, recruiting resources wise, etc., etc., to have success against such a schedule than MU is. That's what is driving their INBRED fan base totally NUTS as Doc's teams turn in stellar season after season and their realizing that MU is getting a hell of a lot more bang for their (green)bucks in its football program than they are in MorganHOLE!!!!

I agree we are not, but given the chance with the same money we would be there in 3 to 4 years.

Thank you for your reply to my note.......however I did not "ignore" anything as you stated. I merely stated that we basically have not attained their level. I am fully aware that we do not have (and will not......at least for a very long time) each of the resources, etc. that you mentioned. You also stated that "Doc's teams turn in stellar season after season".......if I am not mistaken the definition of "stellar" is: very good. Can you honestly say we are/were "very good" and haven't even won all of our games in CUSA with Doc (and this is not a slam on him or anyone)?

I, in no way am trying to start another war regarding this subject......but I want to keep a clear and open mind.
`
We need the financial support of several large corporations (such as Toyota, Union Carbide, Procter & Gamble, etc.) and individuals (such as Jim Justice, Chris Cline, Mike D'Antoni, Jennifer Garner and others)..............just to name a few. We should have lobbied to get part of the approved cig. tax that was recently approved (if we could have gotten .05 cents of that increase....do you realize what that could have done for us....like the "pop/soda" tax did/does for WVU)?
~
Finally, we have a "long row to hoe" to get to the next level.

I challenged him on day 1 when he said he did not know Marshall and wvu were no longer playing basketball. He said he was a HS student.... troll for sure

This is the most entertaining college football forum I have found. Thank you!!!

the said part (if you read the entire thread and the other's he's commented in) is how obvious it is that he is one of your inbred cousins pretending to be an "incoming Marshall freshman"...

and you have to admit, your board was pretty "entertaining" after O-fer October last year........

No doubt about that Duke. If you aren't good it doesn't matter what conference you're in.

It's more about how good. They had a better shot as a big fish in a small pond. I fully realize that pond was getting ready to be drained, but anyone with half a brain knew WVU would have less of a shot in the Big 12. And this has been with Texas in the shitter, which won't last forever.

Definitely right about Texas. Their recruiting class is phenomenal this year. The only thing I would say to the big fish is a small pond argument is it's the same reason we want in the AAC instead of the Mac. Sure we would win more in the MAC, but the money and opportunities from the AAC are greater. Winning vs money and opportunity, just depends on what you want as a program.

Well, you can also say that MU winning 10 games for 3 straight seasons, the ONLY G5 team to do so, is very good, if not "stellar". But that's a matter of semantics.

Don't disagree with your other points, but will point out that Justice, Cline and D'Antoni have supported MU very well, particularly during the Vision Program. Garner really puzzles me- - -she is from Charleston but I believe has NO connections to MU whatsoever. Generally, Charleston and the Kanawha Valley have not looked that favorably either on MU or Huntington. Certainly, their legislators have had NO inclination to support such tax ideas that benefit MU like you propose. Yes, having some corporate support would be nice. But, again, those you mention have little or no connection to MU or Huntington, although I believe Toyota has supported MU some regarding some Japanese language courses in conjunction with their Putnam County plant.

Most of Jennifer's close friends at GW graduated from WVU but she earned her degree from Dennison. I don't think she has any ties to Marshall but she is very proud of her home state.

I believe her dad was transferred to Charleston when she was in Jr high. She really doesn't have any ties to WV except her high school friends and the fact she seems to be a very nice women who cares about the state.

Who really cares on this board what WVU does Her ditty? We don't care, we don't need them, they define themselves by beating pregnant expectant mothers, a coach that grabs his balls the entire game, fans that are delighted to burn furniture as their post game activities. Bums? More like total idiots isn't it Her ditty?

All we need to focus on on this board is THE BEST UNIVERSITY in the state, and that U is Marshall.

We don't care, we don't care, we don't care, new don't care. One more time, we don't care!!!!

I always chuckle when an eerbilly refers to wvu as, up at the university , I always respond with ,well we at Marshall at THE BEST UNIVERSITY ...love to watch their Eers burn. Pun intended!

Mods can we delete this thread? Honestly who cares when a brand new poster comes on to make note of a future eerbilly loss? Lol. When your second post is about the 11 million dollar ball grabber u , I mean you know.

So let me get this straight. You started an Eerbilly thread of your own and then topped that off with a Lane Kiffin thread but you want this one deleted?

Just use the ignore button if certain posters get your panties in a wad. Just sayin!
