A book of fiction with A lot of truth about the characters. Its 1958 and Hank Williams just shot up his last big shot. He saw they had just passed Beckley. Well the shot kills him. 30 or so years later the Dr who supplied old hank now was a doctor working out of an alley in New Orleans. He sees hank almost daily. No one else can see hank but Doc can. Hank has about drove him off the edge but they kinda care about each other. Next comes a young Mexican girl who has healing powers and plays a big role. Doc's heroin dealer is a colorful person and the small group that are Doc's friend are characters. Unbelievable book about people stuck still in this world but as a ghost. The book was wrote by STEVE EARLE. 2nd time I read it.
