I know that may sound like a dumb question or even phrased wrong, but does Huff and Corny actually have a budget to buy players? I heard from one of the coaches this weekend that we lost out on a couple players to small school because we couldn't pay. At least not more than what the small school that most people have never heard of.
When we get these portal players that Huff has gotten, did we have to offer them anything? It's weird that I hear about what other transfers are getting at other schools, but never hear about what the transfers we're getting are receiving.
I would imagine this is also going to hurt us in finding quality replacement coaches in the future. It used to be about their salaries, but you know any prospective coach we interview is going to be asking what his budget for players would be and if we really don't have one it's going to be tough to make good hires.
