The spring signing period was critical for Coach Dan D'Antoni with the departures of seniors Cheikh Sane,JP Kambola, and Shawn Smith. D'Antoni needed to find some size and athleticism to replace the core of his front court.
Looking for some instant impact D'Antoni took the JUCO route signingTerrence Thompson from Georgia Highlands College. "He's an athletic big who can swing to the perimeter. He's a solid rebounder who can run the floor and score inside and outside," D'Antoni said.
Thompson visited Marshall during the last weekend of April and had nothing but great things to say about it. "When I visited I just fell in love with Marshall and what they had to offer. The coaching staff and style of play were big for me. Their academics were also key because they have two hospitals locally and I'm planning on going pre-med," Thompson said...
