Never said it was a good or successful season.
But 12 months ago we won 24 games. Dumpsters don’t catch fire that quick.
Au Contraire. He loses Kinsey, Taylor & Handlogten(sp), the lynchpins of that 24 win season. He attempts, at 77 y.o. , to replace them with 3 different players, thinking he’ll get the same results. What he didn’t do is find a point guard! Instead, he stubbornly thinks a 6’10” kid with limited ball handling skills can duplicate what Taylor was able to do, with disastrous results. Compounding that mistake, he, mid-season, decides to completely abandon his Ellis Johnson-era pick & roll philosophy by running everything through Martin, who, bless his heart, is no point guard! He looks uncomfortable in that role, and absolutely wouldn’t shoot an outside shot if his life depended on it. So, opponents could sag off of him & pack the paint, killing any chance of creating driving lanes for our wings.
And, for the cherry on top, he’s losing players to the portal that didn’t even contribute, and he can’t even start to comprehend how he’s going to find enough DI talent to replace them.
It’s a clusterf*ck, Aaron, and if you can’t see that, then maybe a trip to your eye Dr is in order.
p.s. It speaks volumes that none of his assistants are jumping ship. They must realize their market value is nil, so they’re just hanging on, hoping for paychecks until the gravy train stops……
