I had to go to the hospital this morning for some medical tests. I was waiting in the reception area while they completed all the paper work when I notice several stations around my area manned by volunteers. Their name tags designated them as such. Volunteers!

Here is a multi million dollar enterprise saving on payroll by having the elderly and the bored provide free essential services.

Pioneer Day is a big celebration in Utah, as it commemorates when Brigham Young decided that was the place for his whacked out religion. They have parades, events, fireworks, etc. throughout the state. This year, it is even better, as Salt Lake City was officially given the 2034 Winter Olympics during an announcement at 2:30 a.m. this morning. Thousands of fans came out to watch the live announcement and celebrate all night waiting for the announcement, then turn around for the Pioneer Day parade tomorrow.

Los Angeles is also hosting the 2028 Summer Olympics, so the Olympics are pretty much choosing based on where I own property/live.

Democratic senators plan to introduce legislation Tuesday that would effectively overturn a Supreme Court ruling last month that imposed new limits on federal agencies when they issue regulations about a wide variety of issues, including the environment and consumer protection.

Sen. Pocahontas, D-Mass., will introduce a bill that would restore the previous standard under which federal agencies had some leeway to interpret the law when they issued regulations under statutes that are ambiguously written. It has the backing of nine other Democratic senators, as well as Sen. Crazy Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
