16 and Counting , at least some see the light.

Sorry.....The Syrian refugees are the least of our problem. It's just low hanging fruit for the politicians.

How about the 20 million that come to our country via visa waivers every year!? How about the 70,000 people on the No Fly List that can still by guns!? How about the thousands that enter our country on work/school visas and over stay the expiration of the visa!?

Ted Kennedy was on the no fly list. So he shouldn't have been able to buy a gun? And it's funny how you liberals and let's be honest you are a liberal, scream about due process for terrorist but when it comes to gun ownership screw the bill of rights.

First.....Not a liberal. I just have enough common sensed to look at certain issues and say WTF!?

But.....Still typical NRA Gun Nut response........10,000 Syrian Refugees fleeing a war, who are vetted over a 18-24 month period, with only 2% between the ages of 18-40.......OMG Scary!!! But 70,000 people that can't fly and have been identified as a problem.........no problem!!

Hey.....Maybe as part of the vetting process we could turn away refugees who are on the No Fly List but we could sell them a gun as a consolation prize.

It's just funny when they asked the FBI Director what he saw that disturbed him most and he said that since 2008 the FBI had observed 2000 people who were on the No Fly list purchase firearms. FBI surveillance teams had actually watched suspected terrorists purchase assault weapons.

Then go arrest those people. We obviously know who and where they are so go and get them.

Broken record, he hasn't been president for nearly 8 years. Two wrongs don't make it right.

Situation at hand, broken record.

You and the rest of the gop scaredy cats had no problem with accepting 13,000 Iraqi refugees a mere 7 years ago. What's changed since then? Yeah, we replaced a republican with a democrat as president and you immediately dropped off your nads at the beauty salon.

So its OK for suspected terrorists to buy guns in America, but not OK for refugees to enter the country even though they are not suspected of being terrorists. Perfect.

Now we can't even have a discussion because you're acting like an idiot.
How am I acting like an idiot. You're the one that says because you are on a random list you can't buy a gun. Once again Ted Kennedy was on the no fly list would you have denied him a firearm?

1) It's not a random list

2) I'm sure Ted Kennedy wouldn't have had any trouble jumping through the hoops to have his name removed

So your answer is......"I'd rather be able to buy a gun vs. being able to fly"......With airport security, I'm sure terrorists feel the same way.

Would Joe Schmo have had the same opportunity to jump through those hoops? Probably not. I have no issue keeping guns out of terrorist hands. Just saying youre on the watchlist so no guns for you isnt the way to do that. If these people are truly engaged in terrorist activity then we should go arrest them.

This article sums up my position nicely.

I'll go with the Director of the FBI vs. The Federalist, thanks.

So Im going to assume you didnt read the article.

Sure did.....Doesn't change my opinion.

If buying a gun is so important to someone on the No Fly list......They should get their name off of the list.

Exactly how are the vetted? Seriously. Drivers License? Social Security number? Fingerprints from a data base? Character Witness? Polygraph test? Written essay? School records?

They are not vetted. NO way.

If the Syrians aren't vetted properly, neither were the Iraqi refugees. Just shut up if you're not going to explain the difference.
