Agree or disagree with this murder charge?

I can't buy a murder charge. Murder is a crime of intent. In other words, you realize your actions can, and will, result in the death of another human being. At most this is involuntary manslaughter where your actions led to the death of someone while you had no intent to make that happen.

If the guy was driving down the road and ran over a kid on a bike he would have been charged with reckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter. Don't know how you can call a crash that happen some distance from him a murder.

Edit: sorry for my legit response. I just saw this thread and replied after reading the first few posts. Didn't realize it had been taken down Extra's insane rabbit hole and was no longer about the OP.
