His commentary is all over the internet these days. I'm starting to see it even pop up in the MSM. He's been directly involved with Ukraine negotiations and geopolitical occurrences in that region and NATO for over a decade. People should listen and consider what he is saying.
Correct, but what is our endgame in regards to maintaining peace in Ukraine so we can continue having access to the minerals?
Apparently the agreement Zelensky blew up contained "peace keeping forces to remain in the region".
Who has ever said we wouldn't be "engaged" in the region? If we are getting minerals, we are going to be engaged. We just wont be in the middle of a war if we are there.
So we are going to be even more involved in the region to protect our increased interests?
It’s not hard to understand the endgame.
We do the REM deal to make sure we are getting something for our effort. The deal will require either Russia keeping the eastern portion of Ukraine or the allowance of a referendum to allow those affected regions to vote on. Russia will get a 25 year lease on the naval base in Crimea with guaranteed land access to the base. NATO will agree that the remainder of Ukraine stays neutral plus NATO will promise not to put any missile systems in Ukraine.
Russia essentially wants Ukraine to be a DMV, and that’s reasonable.
