Any updates on Hoops

The Euros are now scheduled to arrive on Saturday, July 27. Their first practice will be Tuesday, July 30, right up to the start of the semester. The other newcomers and returnees will join them then.
What kids made the most improvement this summer?

They'll be here just in time for the hot dog festival. Hmmmmmm........

Agreed on Mike Byers. + w/a season to adjust, more confidence & experience in the system. Hoping he has added about 10-15 lbs of muscle!

None of our players gain any muscle. Not sure what our strength coaches do but it seems like we do not gain the strength and muscle mass that other teams have. Maybe that is on purpose because of our style of play.

May help explain Herd's record in games against major opponents under Coach D. Essentially "men against boys"!

We have had 2 different strength coaches over the past couple of years. This s year we gain Christian as a GA in that department. He certainly did well developing his body, hope he can pass his knowledge along

HM in your opinion only, what will be the starters and rotation?
Honestly, until the Euros arrive and late August practice starts, I have no real thoughts.
Danny tells us he has one starter penciled in. All other spots are open.

Not yet. I think Rucker will be here June 10 and the two Euros sometime later in the summer. Danny is really high on the possibility of the latter two providing some real help as the season progresses. They are working hard with Iran and Byers to improve their moves around the basket; if everything holds true, the former is going to be a beast -- can't wait to see him battle Bassey Michael continues to be an outside sharpshooter and has put on some nice weight. Jannson and Darius have added some -- and I do want to emphasize that word, or should I say "a little bit" of -- muscle. Tavy is back from China.

Heading to WV (July 25).
..Mullens for the Celebration of Life for Louis D'Antoni (1:00 PM)...then to Huntington (weekend) for a family Reunion at Dan & Van's house. Should get some info during the weekend?

Since we are lowly Marshall, the NCAA has yet to rule on Andrew. They will probably let us know Dec 1st.

All that Tim said above is correct. The Euro's and walk ons should be here late this month.
If any of you can make it to practice on Tuesday and Thursday morning, you should stop by.
Watching Danny teach basketball is a work of art.
This is his favorite time. He is a teacher!

True dat'......a great teacher!

I along with Danny, his brother Mike and to my knowledge everyone that has seen them loves what they see. Goran is much more than Danny anticipated. Partly due to the added 22 pounds he has from when we last saw him in April. At 7-0 and 230, he looks good. Marko is also a rugged looking kid that can shoot lights out and a great passer. Could easily play the point at 6-7 but I don't expect to see it. You always need to be ready to receive a pass when he has the ball in his hands
