Speaking of overly-PC culture I'm ecstatic over this pick for SecDef. If you don't know much about Mattis take 5 minutes and look him up. Dude is a walking quote machine, has no time for BS, wise beyond his years and the smartest person the room, no matter what room that is.

Agree completely - think General Mattis is the right choice , to me this cabinet position definitely benefits from having someone with a military background occupying the seat. Unless you have been there ( military ) you do not totally understand nor are you able to fully comprehend the operation of the military regardless of branch of service.
