CCU's OC, Travis Trickett, brother of Clint Trickett, was let go. Very odd considering:

1) CCU lost their stud QB and isn't doing shit at his new school, meaning Trickett was doing something right with him.
2) CCU's scoring (32 points per game) puts them at 43rd in the country.
3) CCU's yards per game (397) puts them at 68th in the country. Neither are necessarily bad, especially with a new QB.
4) Coastal is 4-3, and their problem is their defense, not their offense. Their defense is 111th in the country in both scoring and yards allowed.
5) Travis is a quality guy.

It’s getting to be that time of the season, rifle.

While their offense has issues, especially in later down play calling (13th in the conference in 3rd down conversions and 11th in 4th down), I would have gotten rid of the DC first. They have been really bad there.

seems that the HC always has to fire someone when things head south. Next fire will probably be him it would seem.

Ken Niumatalolo did the opposite when he unfired his assistant and pretty much said the guy was going to go down with him in the sinking ship.
