It's been that way, don't you recall 2020 when they couldn't find a candidate even trotted Bloomberg out for a while. Finally, they found out Biden had enough name recognition to move the needle enough that the election was in "steal" range. And presto Trump got record vote #s for incumbent but the basement dummy shattered the record with 81 million votes. He had to get the record to win. Strange--can't fill up HS gym, but got more votes than HRC or Obama.
