atleast they are honest in claiming they want to ban the sale and manufacturing of all semiautomatic weapons with a detachable magazine including semi auto shotguns rifles and handguns. There is a grandfather clause which would all but guarantee a huge spike in firearm sales

I guess marine is really hopeful this passes next Congress when the dems win back control.

it won't. but damn, isn't my ole buddy's gun business going to take off as a result. going to be a bunch of people kicking themselves in the ass at some point down the road for paying double for that AR they just had to get before the ban that never happened kicked in. I think i am going to pick up an AR15 in .50 cal and an AR10 in a .308. have been thinking about doing that, anyway. plus, he sells to me at his cost, so no worries with having to pay double. might go ahead and do it just in case there's enough brain dead sacks of shit in washington to pass such a ban.

There enough blame to go around here that’s for certain. But at some point with the amount of mass killings involving children something needs to change. I’ll never state all guns should go away because I’m not anti gun at all, but the line has to be drawn somewhere and this imho is a good start

I don’t really care if pistiols are banned or not, my argument has been and will continue to be Semi Auto assault style weapons with a high mag capacity. If pistols go down with them so be it, I don’t really care. That still leaves plenty of weapons for you folks who feel you need a weapon to hunt or defend yourself, which I’m not against at all.

I'm not sure who would want an assault weapon to defend their household. That would be difficult as hell to use at a spur of the moment home invasion, and dangerous as hell, if you have a house full of residents. Better to own a nice hand gun. Assault weapons are primarily made for killing a bunch of people, by spraying an area. Hard to target shoot with those, so not sure what the purpose of them really is, other than to collect and say you have one, and to show off to other gun enthusiasts.

I don’t disagree with this, but these weapons are very accurate if you’re a great shooter which most of these folks involved in these mass killings most likely aren’t. Put this weapon in the hands of an expert and the casulty count increases drastically.

I have a redneck buddy of mine from Summersville, and he took me out to an area where he was shooting his at some targets. All I can say is that if he's taking that out in the woods to shoot deer, I hope like hell I'm not out in the same woods.

pretty much this. i've used my AR to hunt with, but it's the least accurate of all of my hunting rifles. my .222 remington model 788 is by far the most accurate and has about the same knock down power of the AR, but neither of them have the knock down power of my .243, .22-250, 25-06, or .270 weatherby mag, all of which are just as accurate up to 100 yards and WAYYYY more accurate than the AR15 for shots over 100 yards.
