Obviously, winning conference championships is a big part of an AD's job. There are many other major parts of that job, too, including facilities, revenue, fan engagement, graduation rate, etc.
The below link shows a lot of information for about 50 current G5 ADs. It includes length of tenure, athletic budget, and number of sports. More informative is the winning percentage of baseball, men's basketball, and football. Even better, it breaks down the number of championships in those sports, the number of championships in non-revenue sports, and the average championship in both based on the AD's tenure.
In looking at all of the ADs who have been at their school for more than three years, Hamrick is next to last in conference championships (thanks, Wyoming):
