Our church believes in tithing. We also support our pastor. He was called 24/7 and its a hard job. He stays in the hospitals visiting who needs visited. If my wife or I got sick we wouldn't have to call him he would be right to the hospital to pray with us and visit. He doesn't have the time to work.He is very educated too.
