They already tried saying that his previous background checks showed alcohol abuse OR sexual assaults. Yet not one time since July has that ever come up. Their desperation is obvious and not a good look

Over 40 people came forward requesting to be interviewed to corroborate Ms. Ramirez claims yet NONE of them were questioned. Hell, they didn't even question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Don't you think she might have had more information to provide that she might not have wanted to provide on national television? Maybe, maybe not. But the only way you find out is to ask her. They didn't even question Kavanaugh. They didn't even question his college roommate. They didn't question anyone whom they suspected might provide testimony detrimental to Kavanaugh's character.
They had a week but completed it in 5 days. Bullshit. Before the report was complete and before it was provided to anyone, f'ucking turtle man was calling for a vote. Everyone knows what this charade is. It is a game to provide cover for the three Senators, Flake, Murkowski and Collins in case they decide to confirm. You're a paralegal; ask one of your attorney friends who will be honest with you.

She certainly wasn't holding back then, why would she if questioned again later? The only thing that would have done would give her more time to make more accusations of which she would be unable to recollect any details of merit, whatsoever.

Ford was asked twice, under oath, if she had any thing else to add. She answered no twice.

In an investigation, you don't go down every rabbit hole that pops up. Investigators don't have the time or resources to chase shadows. You go to the people that supposedly have first-hand information of the allegations. If they are credible and provide the names of people that can support their account, you follow-up with those people. If they don't have any knowledge or information, you end it there. It's a little too soon to say, but it appears that's what happened here.
As for questioning Ford, why would they do that? She had already been grilled, under oath, by a federal prosecutor. What could they possibly ask or learn that she hasn't already provided?
As for character witnesses, what has that got to do with anything? That was something that was already examined during the first go-round. The sole purpose of reopening the investigation was to address specific conduct that was alleged to have occurred. The FBI did that. They apparently didn't find anything. It's time to move on.
We can agree on the whole thing being a "sham" - just not in the way you want it to be. The sham is the continued attempted delay tactics by the Dems. The show is over. Time to vote.

- There are 109 people who have clearance to access what was delivered to Capitol Hill at 2:30 Thursday morning -- 100 senators, four majority committee staffers and four minority committee staffers, one committee clerk. That's it.
- There is a single copy of the FBI's findings. It is currently in a vault, in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility -- or SCIF, if you'd like to use the Washington short hand. It cannot leave the room.
- Senators can't bring their phones into the SCIF when they go to review the documents. If they take notes, the notes must be left in the room when the senator leaves.
- Senators are not allowed to discuss or characterize in detail what they've read (though they most certainly will try.)

Retired Supreme Court Justice Stevens, a Republican, has said publicly that Kavanaugh should be disqualified. The American Bar Association opposes his nomination. Over 1200 law professors across the country have opposed his nomination.
