FIU/BYE WEEK/WKU/WE ARE...THE "BEAST IN THE EAST"

Our boys played sound all night, looked like a different team than all season.

Things of note:

Bradshaw was in attendance for the game, glad to see that.

NO injuries as of 8 to go in the 4th Qtr.

Pittman is healthy again, as is Watson and Davis is starting to look better as well. I believe DJ will play vs. WKU no matter what.

Almost two weeks to heal up the O-Line and anyone else before battling for the EAST.

We have a chance to be in the CUSA championship game 3 years straight with a win on Black Friday.

The blackout DID looked great even if it wasn't a night game at kickoff.

WKU looked less than invincible against FAU, let's see how they do against FIU.

I saw Chase in DJ's face in the 4th quarter saying we can win this (CUSA), I think we TAKE IT TO THE TOPPERS and become the ol' beast in the east we were in the MAC.

I think we definitely have a shot. The WKU game is the game we've all been looking forward to all year. I could see it going either way.

I would think that a W on the Tops would boost us over LT in the tie breaker to host.

Also wanted to add that NOBODY beat this FIU team like we did today, IU only beat them 36-22. I think motivation is at a major high for this team to win out.

If our defense brings their A-game then we certainly would have a good chance of winning against WKU. they have very good offense and a defense like we had in 2012. The key will be for us to maintain drives on offense to keep the defense fresh.

Interesting stat, FIU's 5 losses coming into the game were by a combined 56 points, including only a 10 point loss to LaTech. We nearly matched that total on our own today.

To answer the hosting question, we are about 25 spots behind LaTech in average of the polls that matter, which is probably too far to make up even with a WKU win. Our chance to host would really only be if Southern Miss beats LaTech to be the West Division rep.

Oh course, CUSA hasn't followed their tiebreaker in either of the last two years, so who knows,

Southern Miss is much improved this year and looks to be getting better. They may be able to beat La Tech. Of course we would have to hold up our end of it by beating WKU. Before today I didnt know if we could do it but if the team plays like they did today we have a good shot at WKU.
