Frampton Commits

Averaging almost 20 points a game and almost 8 boards a game would help us tremendously this year. Leadership in the locker room would be an added bonus.

Leaders show up when your at your lowest.

when there's literally no one else on your team that can score or rebound, you're going to get yours.

Still gotta put the ball in the basket and still have to put for the effort you average almost 20 and 10 for the season as a True Freshman. Anything else you want to say to try and diminish those stats. Face the facts, we arent athletic, we arent tough, who dont have anyone who can create their own offense off the dribble, We play 5 on 4 when we are on defense. And we have a lazy coach when it comes to recruiting and locking down the best G5 available talent in the region.

he took almost 1/3 of uic's shots last year, it's no wonder he scored 19 a night. he averaged 7.3 rebounds per game, but as a forward also turned it over 4.1 times per game.

his player efficiency rating was 13.6. compare that with our guys last year, kelly 26.8, ryan 22.8, terrence thompson 14.3, and milan mijovic 12.1.

He made a 40 year decision by picking Davidson

Winner.

Davidson: 450 students per class year. $48K/year tuition. 23 Rhodes Scholars. $680M endowment. Beautiful campus looks like a movie set of a Ivy League college c.1950. 11.4 to 1 faculty ratio, no classes taught by grad students, faculty actually teaches and not work on research. Member of Annapolis Group, Oberlin Group, and Associated College of the South. US News #9 liberal arts college in country. 80% of students spend a semester abroad. Alma mater of 3 current F500 CEOs, 47 current state or federal appelate court judges, 7 current congressmen, countless others among the power elite in all fields and both parties.

And, in basketball 13 NCAAs (including 3 trips to the elite eight) and 8 NITs.

I haven't see a video that shows him shooting from any distance. Do you have a link I could access?

I rather like what I've seen from him to be honest. Nice touch around the basket and isn't afraid to mix things up. Reminds me of a more skilled version of Terrence Thompson - who will probably play the 5 for us this year.
I just youtubed a video, but he looks like a big ole' banger type. He is a big boy no doubt but from the videos I saw he is not going to shoot jump shots. If Im running a spread offense this is not the kid I would want in my offense

Heres a clip I found about him committing with a couple of highlights. The other videos on youtube are from 2014.

New Does being instate matter more than being talented at Marshall?

The guys Dan is signing are never going to win CUSA..... Even in its down years like 2015-16

Getting instate kids doesn't really matter when they're not the best instate kids....

Frampton
Cuffee
Johnson
All of Huntington Prep

Hmmmmm. I'd have to ask , how is it the Pats are still winning without Brady and crew?

Teamwork. System. Unity.

Dan recruits recruits that can play in his system.

Dan is assembling the collegiate version of the West Virginia High Schools All Star Team. The good thing is it makes West Virginians proud that an in-state D1 program is providing them an opportunity to play. The downside, in my opinion, those players have to win CUSA to move on - NCAA/NIT. When you see the teams making those fields is when we wonder about all of Dans instate recruiting. Check to see what other "Bigs" are re recruiting the players we get.

I guess that's the B squad of WV High school All-stars because surely he isn't landing the best in the state

He does but that COULD be out of necessity. Most kids that tall play down low in high school simply because they're so much taller than everyone else.

From what I can tell he has a decent touch from the FT line, so its possible he has some range. Just because we haven't seen it in a video doesn't mean he can't do it. He's at Hargrave this year so he could be expanding his skill set.

That said, guys his size who have 3 point range don't end up at schools like Marshall. They're sort of like defensive tackle recruits in football. All the good ones go to big P5 schools.

Have you been to practice? TRS and I have been to most, including one this afternoon, and we see what we have. Everyone that has been there seem to be very optimistic about the upcoming year. Until you watch them just hold on with the criticism.
