We're a 2.5 favorite so why not!Why not us...and why not now...right!!
LETS GO HERD!!! BEAT FIU
Win and advance!
Because DD has put forward one of the bottom teams in MU history, and one of the worst teams in the country. The players are not listening to him and his silly gimmick offense and most of them are simply not DI level athletes in the first place. They are 11-20 overall, 9-20 versus DI teams, 4-14 in conference, and have beaten no one of any significance, with only four wins versus teams with winning records. Probably zero, or perhaps one, tournament team beaten (Wright State plays tonight). NET of 240. Garbage. Why not us

It is nice to play pretend that MU is going to win a PIG (which it just might, FIU is equally garbage) and then soar through the tournament of one of the worst basketball leagues in the country and get a 16 seed and then upset Duke or Kentucky.
But that isn’t real. Real is the season will end tonight, or tomorrow or the next day.
Then the realists need to have the real discussion. Which is firing DD, who to replace him with, and who to run off to the small colleges they belong at.
Fire DD.
No FIU money in the house...which I get because they are horrible!Spread up to 4. And I still took the Herd. I can't help myself...
Yep it screams big timeDoes C-USA still run the conference tournament like college intramurals? Multiple games side by side going on simultaneously? Think they put a curtain between courts before.
Speaking of big time, did I see where early round games are on ESPN+ but later rounds are on Stadium before ending up on CBSSN.Yep it screams big time
This is a great idea, but Stowers would run down at the conclusion and cash in his Money in the bank suitcase. You and Perkins need to have a Ladder Match. Suspended 15 ft above the ring is the title of "THE TRUE MU FAN" since Goddamn Sam seems to be the antithesis to Perkins but claims fandom nonetheless.
PS
I'm taking Perkins...his FB profile pic of the Cat in the Hat green and white hat with that insane look, that is the eyes of the monster, that is fear!! That is defeat for you, Goddamn Sam!!!
Yes.Speaking of big time, did I see where early round games are on ESPN+ but later rounds are on Stadium before ending up on CBSSN.
Why would anyone attend Marshall vs. FIU?... Both teams are awful, neither are anywhere near Texas, on a Tuesday night, MU is leaving the conference in a couple months, etc. If I were a Herd booster who lived within 30 mins of the arena, I'd be there. Other than that, hard pass.Great win in front of maybe 1000 people?
It's a terrible location and venue. Looks bush league - which is on par with CUSA. Not that the league would sell out any venue, or close. Just bad. I seriously doubt the championship game gets 5K regardless of who it is.Why would anyone attend Marshall vs. FIU?... I know there has been some rumbling on other boards about maybe moving the SBC tourney to a state that actually has a SBC team in it, with a more neutral location... Atlanta, Birmingham, Mobile, etc would fit that bill.On to the SBC, which is the original conference that invented playing the tournament a week early to get attention and not be lost among all the big boy tournaments, did you catch any of that? Same story, although they play in a regular civic center, oddly in Pensacola. Similar crowds.
Atlanta would be a good location. Easy to get to for most schools.I know there has been some rumbling on other boards about maybe moving the SBC tourney to a state that actually has a SBC team in it, with a more neutral location... Atlanta, Birmingham, Mobile, etc would fit that bill.
It is oddly quite common to play conference tournaments in states that don’t have a dog in the fight. The WAC, West Coast and Big West all play in Las Vegas, the A-10 and CAA. play in DC, the Big 12 plays in Kansas City MO, and the OVC plays in Evansville, IN. DC is also in the rotation for the ACC, going back next year.I know there has been some rumbling on other boards about maybe moving the SBC tourney to a state that actually has a SBC team in it, with a more neutral location...
