Going to Southern Miss would be a lateral move, at best. In all honesty, it would probably be more of a slight downgrade. He is using this for leverage. Cs needs to extend a one year contract to match it and be done

So Miss is the middle, geographically, of furtile recruiting. And, inspite of the overgeneralizations regarding HS recruiting, HS recruiting is still very important. So the next HC will be in a good spot to recruit second tier talent.
Second, he's be walking into a teardown to the foundation and rebuild with the benefit of learning from his mistakes with the Herd.
And if the $1.5 million is true, that's a lot better pay than he's probably going to secure at Marshall.
You can blame that on the last couple of coaching staffs. Talent is available.Oh yeah, Southern Miss is just dominating the bottom of the conference with all that talent...
Cart before the horse. Counting apples and eggs and such.So you have a s***y old car. You have been thinking about trading it in. Then the daughter calls. Says, Dad, I'm OK, but I crashed your car.
The Insurance pays you about what the trade in would have been, and you get a new car.
Not exactly what you wanted, you wanted to trade the car (fire CH) but instead the insurance totals it (CH quits).
But the result is the same. A CH free future, which means a bright and hopeful future where Championships are played for.
