Illegal Immigrant raped 10 year old.

Abortion should be nationally codified as legal on moral and ethical grounds. It never really was protected by the constitution. So I don’t even disagree with the decision, I just disagree violently with the laws states have passed and are passing. Legislature tried to let SCOTUS do their job for them and this is where it got us.
No need to get violent.

Then they should spell it out more in their legislation, because it’s currently not clear and there’s not really any precedent to look back on for what will and won’t get you arrested if you’re a doctor in Ohio right now.

The law reads that abortion is only allowed when there is
“serious risk of the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman."

That is very open to interpretation. Is that risk assumed because she’s 10? What if she were 12? 14?
She wouldn't have to figure that out on her own, numbnuts. The healthcare facility can inform her and her family (and are obligated to do so) of her options.

I non-sarcastically appreciate the consistency, although I find it hard to believe that someone who believes it is actual murder would want it decided state by state. So I guess there’s some other reason you all don’t want it legal in your own states.
Yes. Totally weird not wanting the big nanny state Feds telling individual states they must allow the unborn to be killed. So immoral and unethical.

The worst part of all this is that a 10 year old
needed an abortion…

the second to worst part is that most of this board would rather argue the point of this or that when a f*^#ing 10 year old needed an abortion bc she was raped. Who the eff cares where the guy was from, or what state she lives in, or what doctor does it. It should be her and her families right to have an abortion under any circumstance at 10.
This is why our country is in such a trashy spot. You have media saying all different things. Representative Jim Jordan discrediting the whole story (victim blaming, essentially) then recanting but not apologizing, AG seeking charges to the dr., etc.

We should all be able to say, yes…she needed an abortion and that’s ok…. Then close this thread. It’s pathetic that you all are fighting over the legality of abortion when it’s a damn child. As a dad of two young kids, I would take them anywhere in the country for services, and I hope you would too.

There are no allowances for victims of rape or incest in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee or Texas.

i think you missed the point that this never would have happened without Biden's (and biden voters) open boarder policies. We can cover drug overdose deaths cause by them later.

I hear what you’re saying and that’s the hill you’re choosing right now, but since all of this forum is a bunch of hypothetical political trash from people who most likely arm chair quarterback everything they “research” … would you not have a difference stance if the man was a family member or a us citizen and lived the next town over?
The point is that she is 10… got raped… and no government should dictate that she continue to carry the 6w3d gummy bear with a heart beat… she’s 10. It should be illegal to actually force her carry, imo.

It's a terrible situation - one that all sides can agree is thankfully, not the norm when it comes to females utilizing abortion.

The problem is your characterization of the fetus as a "gummy bear." That's a subjective opinion on your part. While you can make a compelling argument for your take, so can those that believe it is a living child with inherent natural rights. That's why the decision to allow abortions should be left to the people and their duly-elected state legislators.

That being said, the child in this case obtained a legal abortion, so the consternation over the story seems overblown.

You haven’t seen a vaginal ultrasound for 7 week old pregnancy? Sure, it’s subjective by terminology, but by measurements it’s pretty objective. However unless you’ve gone through 5 losses, a stillbirthand seeing a weakened HR of a vaginal ultrasound at 7weeks.. you might be more inclined to see things from a different view point from time to time.
Life is hard. Politics isn’t easy. Making laws by the poeple you elect is the way it works, but there should always be exemptions and leave that to the higher courts… not the people who win popularity contests at my precinct.

the media never should have made such a big deal over it. She should have been able to obtain one, clearly under the laws in Ohio. The end. Also, f that guy from wherever he came from.

Probably picked the wrong guy to get sanctimonious with on loss. I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, that's 100% not how our system works. Nor was it ever intended to work that way. You're advocating turning the Court into a super legislature, which is a terrible idea regardless of your political beliefs.
