After seeing the size of the facility (Hey, it’s Texas!), perhaps having a bye is even more advantageous, not because of the extra day of rest (very important) but rather being able to watch as much of tomorrow nights games just to hear the sounds in the Star. The simultaneous crowd noise, whistles, horns & communication challenges the players will have to deal with on the court. Even though it is only for 1 game (semis & finals “normal” progression), it has to help the Herd get used to this new set-up.
These young men have been playing tourneys for years, & most likely have done this before. Coaches will have to work extra hard to make sure plays are signaled in correctly & no confusion for the team.
Perhaps we should borrow Wags for Thursday!
He could throw the other side off with the hand signals.....personally I am geeked for this!!
