It appears the end of days are here

That's because most of your arguments with other people are with fellow cons about something important, like music or checkers. And probably because you didn't make fun of their religion, where they live, etc. You don't get to incessantly attack me while I hunker in a corner.
You do know that you bring that on your self due to your message board persona

I'm staying out of the Scientology bickering. To each his own as long as they don't shove it down my throat. But the belief that medication can't help mental illness? Come on man!

Nope. What brings in on is the fact that I'm not a conservative. When I first started on this board, I kept it real tame, you know what it got me? Same thing as now. There are posters on this board who start threads with calling me a name or names. It's not just me either. Go back in several threads regarding dherd and see how many times a conservatives calls him dherd. Then count the number of times he's called dtard. Get back with us on that.

You're another science guy, so show us a blood test, xray or something showing the people who take psychotropic drugs do much, if any, better than placebos. Tell us with scientific proof what is the proper chemical balance of serotonin and dopamine in the brain for example. Furthermore, ask a guy who just snorted cocaine if he feels better. Would that be a type of medication that helps mental illness.

His beliefs about psychotropic medication is rooted in his Scientology beliefs, and Scientology roots that in their desire to make money.

I wish the old board was archived. I was discussing my issues with depression and his response was to recommend Scientology. I shit you not. No thanks, I'll stick to what works, and what has turned me totally off of my old ways of self-medication. Anyway, that's why he likes to attempt to demean me with comments about "pill head", because not only did I reject his advice but I told him he was batshit crazy to believe that crap.

Couple of things. First yourname, greed, was created because of your past comments questions about paying your employees. We make fun of where you live because it’s over 98% white yet you attempt to be down with the struggle.
You have two religions and claim one doesn’t have any beliefs so yeah we are going to make fun of that because it’s just plain stupid.
And look at what dtard posts. Enough said

It was created from a lie.

Pure malarkey.

You have two religions and claim one doesn’t have any beliefs

And how many times have I challenged everyone to come up with a single belief required to be a scientologist, and no one has come up with one. You just can't wrap your simple mind around that concept. Not my fault.

And look at what dtard posts.

Thanks for making my point. You morons can't help yourself.

Tell us with scientific proof

As there are numerous clinical trials of which you can Google, please show us scientific proof that Scientology provides the proper treatment for depression, drug addiction, being a dick (hint: you are not in the control group), etc. As the one promoting an alternative to medically accepted practices the burden of evidence is on YOU. And before you blow your Cruise Control, I'd demand the same if you claimed prayer alone was the answer.

Can we cut neurotics from obamacare? I'll pay for Raoul's viagra but not those damn sugar pills.

I already know the information. It's not in your favor, which is why I asked for it. So it appears your scientific malarkey has no more evidence than scientology. Go figure.

As the one promoting an alternative to medically accepted practices the burden of evidence is on YOU.

At one time, medically accepted practices included soothing syrups for kids which included morphine, heroin, chloroform, and opium. As for you, an accepted medical practice included a lobotomy. So don't bring that malarkey.

You clearly don't know much. Please...no quotes from Chiropractic Digest as your evidence.
Please a chiropractic blog would be a step up from the Scientology website he would post.

If he was truthful about his feelings on drugs he’d post links to support his position. Instead we are all morons and it’s all malarkey.
Extra does your son still work at Mitchell Bateman hospital?

The placebo effect is certainly real. But that doesn't negate the benefit of real drugs. Studies show that placebos cause the brain to release dopamine and endorphins (chemically similar to morphine) which mimic the effects of real drugs and work along the same neurological pathways. This response and release of drugs which create satisfaction in the brain came about through the evolutionary process over time. If we didn't have satisfaction in the brain when we eat or have sex we wouldn't survive as a specie. Somehow the expectation when taking placebos create a chemical change in the brain So the placebo effect is certainly real.

But you can't take the leap from there to say that the placebo effect negates the benefits of real drugs. That would be like saying that a person who claims he's feeling better from the flu with a placebo (because of the release of endorphins and dopamine) somehow negates the viability of antibiotics. You just can't make that stretch.

There are literally millions of people fighting depression, anxiety, etc. whose lives are improved through the use of drugs. The existence of the placebo effect doesn't change that fact.

Correct. You're full of malarkey and you're morons. Been trying to get you to understand that for quite some time.

This is a strange reply. It's like saying modern cancer therapy is diminished because we once used leeches. But I'll give it a try: at one time, accepted Christian practices were to take followers of false religions like you and burn them at the stake.

And in the future, false claims regarding drugs for depression and the chemical imbalance theory will go the way of leeches and burning people at the stake. When the facts are known, the answer will be that depression has as it's cause, loss. Just like I've told you before.
