Great news via Chuck Landon that another outstanding local basketball player, Spring Valley's Jacob (Smiley) Kilgore, will be wearing the Green and White this fall as an invited walk-on with the Herd! Smiley is an outstanding scorer, solid student and, most importantly, a classy young man who will be a credit to the university and the program.
One error in Chuck's report--Jacob will not be running Cross Country along with playing basketball!
Smiley was this year's MSAC Player of the Year and should be a shoo-in to be First Team Class AAA All-State!
Marshall is getting "two for one" in this deal, because Jacob's girlfriend, Kassidy Lemons, will be playing Volleyball for Coach Mitch Jacobs and the MU Women's Volleyball team--Kass was a Class AAA All-Stater last season for Spring Valley's outstandingi team..
