Interesting comments from Justice and Co. Seems as if this Cyber Security Institute is really going to catapult the University and City.

The folks up North apparently tried very hard to get this in Motown opposed to Huntington due to the economic impact.

There are a good number of degrees that should be nothing more than a couple of classes offered. They should create a list of all degrees based on employment rate/starting salary and convert the lowest into class offerings instead of degrees. They need to stop putting students in these terrible financial situations.

Adding programs like this is going to propel Marshall in a great direction and I hope they continue to expand in this direction as it will continue to pay dividends to students, Marshall, and Huntington. This is a giant win for the good guys.

Of course they did... Think of the optics over the past 2-3 weeks between them and us.

WVU announces millions in budget cuts, program cuts, faculty layoffs, etc... So much so they made the front page of Yahoo News, USA Today, etc.

A few days later... Marshall breaks ground on a $45 million cyber security institute that is being billed not only as a huge win for the university but the city as a whole.

They would have been idiots to not make a push for this facility/program.

I heard on Metro News yesterday that WVU cut it's Bachelors program in Puppetry. That's what sparked all the protests.

Braking News WVU just announced cuts to their Animal Husbandry Program. That includes advanced degrees in the subject.
