Kid Rock Leads in Early Michigan Polling

Most likely 44% of people who don't want to go on record supporting Kid Rock for Senate. It's the Trump effect.
Before that it was Romney, McCain, Bush, etc. Some people just live life playing the scared victim card.

Exactly correct. A lot of people underestimate the effect of how frustrated everyday people are with the current government intrusions and climate. I'm kind of hoping he wins and shows up to D.C. In a full length fur coat blasting bawitdaba.

His stance pretty seems anti government wasteful spending... do you think he is going to spend efficiently?

Let me guess where he intends to cut spending....education, healthcare, food for the elderly and children. "I'm digging trump. Let the business guy run the country like a business."

Trump won't even support him. Lena Epstein the head of the trump campaign in Michigan is running in the primary. I guess this is not 100 percent since trump shits on all of his people on a regular basis but seems like Lena should have the establishment and Trump wing support

Personally, my first reduction would be to the defense budget, aka offense budget. We waste plenty of money on the other things you mentioned as well. Hopefully we have all healthcare running as well as the VA one day.

Has kid rock submitted the paperwork necessary to declare as a candidate? As of early last week he wasn't officially on the ballot

I hate what our political system has become. I really do. I mean come on Kid Rock as a Senator! I am completely politically neutral on Hollywood and politics. I hate them all equally. Don't care if you are a conservative or liberal. I don't care what your opinion is on anything especially matters that you have no more knowledge of than people on a political message board have. I find the majority of actors and musicians aren't bright nor are they particularly well informed. They repeat mantras of whatever movement or politician they believe in while having zero knowledge of the situation they comment on. It's fine to be uninformed and a robot when you are on a message board or talking to your buddy. But when it's someone that has a platform to reach millions of people that's a different story.
I once saw an a famous actress on tv with a Mao TS

So no I'm not excited Kid Rock is running for Senator even though he agrees with many of my opinions. But I'm not going to be a hypocrite. Keep playing music stay out of politics.

If I lived in Michigan, I would gladly support Bob Ritchie. Sounds like he is for the working man and trying to fix the place he is from.

Why? If he supports limited government and lowering taxes, he's already better than virtually every Democrat/liberal on earth.
Yes kid rock would be in the same class as MC hammer and Mike Tyson when it comes to federal spending cuts. Three very highly qualified individuals. Yep you guys are all over it.

If I'm good enough if im smart enough and gosh darn it if people like me. Then why can't I be a senator. Would I support him for senator, probably not but if Jesse Ventura can be governor and Stewart smalley can be a senator then anyone can

That's the problem 429 all of those guys getting elected make me sick. I have no doubt in the idiocracy of America Kid Rock will be a Senator cause he plays music I like and he likes guns. A persons first leadership role in Govt shouldn't be as a Senator!! Especially if their last profession was as a performer. Every time I watch that douchebag Franken put on his "serious" voice and talk about "serious" issues it just makes me sick. The only reason he's a Senator is because he was on SNL, and Kid Rocks fame and music will be the only think getting him named a Senator.

I cannot stand Al Franken, and it's mostly due to his role on SNL. I will give him credit though, as he is pretty intelligent. I believe he graduated from Harvard as well.

Someone that graduated from Harvard does not automatically make one smart but let's go ahead and give Franken the benefit of the doubt and say he is. His first political office that he held was as a United States Senator. Good for you Minnesota, you have brought us a Senator Al Franken and Governor Jesse the body Ventura. Now Michigan is trying to outperform you and bring us a Senator Kid Rock.

No the trump clowns have already outdone Minnesota. Look no farther.

Franken is quite intelligent. I don't always agree with him, but when I have seen him do hearings he is always among the smartest in the room. He's nothing like Ventura, who is legit batshit crazy. Alex Jones crazy.

Non SNL fans don't realize he was one of the original writers on the show. He happened to be funny and took a chance on something new. I don't consider him an actor.

Anyway, Ben Stein supported his Senate bid. Considering they are polar opposites politically, I think that says something. Stein is pretty damn smart himself.

I'll give Kid Rock credit for making a music career with hard work. But I have a hard time voting someone into the United States Senate who is popular for motherfvckers and suck my dicks.

I'm not a Trump voter but there is no comparison to Trumps work experience as a CEO of multiple companies and being responsible for several thousand employees to being a writer and sometimes performer on SNL or a pro wrestler or in this case a musical star. None of them prepare you for the job as a governor or Senator.

What preparation do you really need to be a Senator? I'm a pretty good bullshitter, so I think I could probably run myself. Most of them do whatever the leadership tells them to do. That's the problem right there. Senate and Congressional leaders on both sides are morons, and the shit trickles downhill from there. I know a bunch of folks don't like Joe Manchin, but from afar, he seems like the most level headed Senator we have.

I agree. Just pointing out at least they picked an intelligent guy. That's more than I can say for a lot of folks in Congress.

Minnesota is weird. There's that whole Nordic socialist farmer tradition thing there.

As anyone can see, cheetos work experience as a CEO of multiple companies and being responsible for several thousand employees did not prepare him for being a representative, senator, and more particularly the president.
