Let’s talk Herd @ LA Tech.....

I don’t need big offensive performances from Taylor. He busts ass and does so many little things. But he as to give us something from the guard position and he did in that second half. Hell of a performance.

This is not a gloat post because there were stretches of frustration especially early this evening, but how do you feel now? I guess we ask, which Herd is the real Herd? The team that went +24 in Ruston after falling behind by 17? Or the team that fell behind by 17 to begin with?

Regardless, it’s a really nice bounce back win, both from last night and from the way this one started.

Hopefully we can mold into a consistent team that was more like the +24 than the -17. I saw stretches of the same old thing and stretches of much grittier, tougher play.

I will gladly eat crow on that one. They played pretty bad for 3 of 4 halves this weekend. But I give them credit for sticking with it. Good for them and I am happy foe them.

All game Friday night I was waiting for us to go on a run and never got it together. Tonight they did.

Charlotte took out WKU in OT today. They will be very tough - Jamir Young is a player. LATech travels to WKU - glad we only get those guys once in BG & another @ home...

Spotted HerdinATL, Jannson’s Mom (what gave it away?) and Herdmeister in the crowd last nite. Then, there was this:

Supa fan of the year.....he did this for a full minute! About 2 circle claps a second....

Yes we watched that dude. We found out from a few of the locals that he is the school "librarian"?!?!. I tried to chat with him , But he was a " ass" in every sense of the word. He screamed at the refs the whole game. I thought he was going g to have a heart attack. He would literally dance and jump up and down behind the basket when our team was shooting free throws. If people heard us cheering on tv I'm sure they heard him. He was obnoxious.

A road split against a team of roughly equal talent isn't a bad thing under the current CUSA scheduling format... There will be a lot of splits among the top 5-6 teams this year.

Need to win both over the bad teams no matter where the games are played, and steal a sweep or two at home over the middling teams to get a top 4 seed for the tournament.
