Marshall up to #22 in latest Sagarin

We don't need Houston, we already have Rice and they deliver that market just as well, and by that I mean they are physically there and nobody cares about them either.

that and Rice actually wins bowl games...

Don't be ignorant. You may not like Houston, but saying you would rather have rice over them is comical. You honestly think rice "deliver's that market just as well"? Houston has over 41,000 students whereas rice has a little over 6,000. Houston has over 260,000 alumni in Texas.. Rice doesn't even come close.. That being said, you would receive more people tuning in to watch Houston v Marshall, than Rice v Marshall. Having a large Texas University would bring more money to your conference, and make you (Marshall) more relevant in that state, which would do wonders for your recruiting.

Don't mind them, they're just flinging shit to the wall in hopes that something will stick. UH has much more control of the Houston market than they want to believe, many surveys of Houston sports fans have already proven that. TV ratings have also provided evidence that people in our massive city will watch a good UH team on TV.

To make this more personal for MU fans, the CUSA championship at Rice compared to the two times the CUSA championship was at UH, there is no comparison. Especially since the 2011 CUSA Champinship at UH was aired on ABC.

Oh and when UH was 10-0, College Gameday came to campus but when Marshall was 10-0, they barely received any coverage, mainly due to a watered down CUSA and an embarrassingly weak OOC schedule.

Once again, outside of TV Market, UH offers nothing for football. Marshall doesn't recruit Texas much anyway and if they did CUSA has 4 Texas teams already. The Boise fan will soon see why CougarKing gets treated the way he does and if doesn't, he'll look like a troll as well. I can only imagine the mods have banned Cougar for his lack of finding the smack board because he's so weak at trolling it provides easy entertainment. About the only accurate thing he's said in all his time on this board is Case is a pretty damn good 4th string QB, not sure why the Texans were in such a hurry to drop him from 2nd to 4th on the depth chart. I don't think he could take a NFL team far as an every week starting QB, but he'd be a very serviceable 2nd stringer IMO. Houston may become relevant in football again though if Sumlin keeps losing control in College Station and needs a job.
