Washington is in a different class. They were ranked # in the country in late October for a few weeks. We're pretty lucky it isn't 3-0 or 4-0.

Duke I owe you an apology. We have a good team but Washington is great. I now see what you mean by that upper echelon in soccer. I couldn’t be prouder of our guys but even with my extremely limited soccer knowledge I could see how good Washington was.

Response on the game thread from a Washington alum/fan

Tanner Hata Glad to see a lot of Marshall fans supporting their men's soccer team. Needs to continue! This UW team was #1 in the coaches poll for a number of weeks, represented USA in an international tournament in Brazil (Won the championship). The program has produced multiple pro players just in recent history, and Blake Bodily will be the next in that line. Hard fought game and cheers to the a great year.

Final 4-1 Huskies - Great season and we reached a level we have never been to regarding the national tournament , CUSA champions , regular season champions , nationally ranked , 11 seed in the NCAA's and to top it off sent WVU home in order to get to the Sweet 16

No telling what is in store for this program down the road , especially when we get the coach back.
